The Stacker is a standby for hauling whitewater kayaks on your roof rack. Evolved considerably from its beginnings as an undistinguished vertical loop, the Thule Stacker now has a separate upper bridge that makes it easy to tie your boats down. The Stacker holds up to four boats and folds down for a cleaner look and reduced wind profile when not in use.

The only roof kit I'd ever use for kayaking. You can easily get 4 boats on top of your car with the stacker. All I can say is that they are perfect.

We've had the Thule Stacker on our Jeep Liberty for three years now, quiet literally it doesn't come off. They fold down relatively flat and create absolutely no excess road noise. It is by far easier to load the Stacker with two people than it is by ones self, however with practice you discover ways of figuring it out. Fits two recreational kayaks with no problems what so ever, it was a great investment I've really been impressed with it as a whole. Added bonus with no shortage of silver Jeep Libertys in the world its nice to have something that sets yours apart in a crowded parking lot.

I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. I use this rack with my factory installed luggage racks and it works great! I recommend putting those rubber or plastic screw covers over the mounting bracket screws though. If your boats are heavy enough, or when you tighten the straps, the crossbars will sag down and the screws will scratch the top of your car.

Love the stacker! I was hesitant when I bought it because it's meant for white water kayaks, and I own a 10' Pelican recreational kayak & 16' Perception touring kayak. I've used the stacker several times now and the kayaks not only fit very nicely, but are very very secure. The rachet straps that are supplied with the stacker work perfectly. Of course because my kayaks are deeper than white water kayaks, I can only fit two boats on my roof rack (on a Jeep Grand Cherokee), but that's exactly what I wanted the stacker for. No more shoving one boat in the back & one on the roof :)

Used this for several years for white water, and open water kayaks and everything in between, Done two cross country trips with a kayak strapped on it with no issues at all. (even in very windy conditions) They are easy to install wit one person, fold flat when not in use, and on my Subaru Impreza with Thule bars I can easily lift up kayak and strap it on by myself with these. I have putt 5 kayaks on my car with these (though not recommended). nice when not in use fold down or easy to take off and store at home. would buy again

I've got two whitewater kayaks up on it. Holds the things solid as a rock. I just did 500miles with them up there and didn't worry about them the entire way. Jeep Grand Cherokee with a standard roof rack. My only gripe is that you need to be nimble to attach things to it, in that I have to pretty much get up on the roof. I used a couple of swim noodles as cushions and they work great. I've used J-racks before, and I would say this is as comprable to them and I think in the kayaks sit as snug. This is an awesome value rack.

This is a good solid product. It is stable, easy to use and install, and reliable. The only downside is that attaching the straps around the kayaks when the stacker is attached to a mini-van roof rack can be a bit of a chore.

This product is a great option for carrying multiple kayaks and not having to purchase two single kayak carrier systems (at a much higher cost).

This really is a great and simple solution to carrying more than one kayak and not having to buy a number of different holders. You can carry up to 4 kayaks with this thing depending on the size of the vehicle, Now that's some serious bang for the buck! It lays down when not used so you don't look like the hundreds of people that have kayak cradles and never have a kayak in them. One of the only downsides is it can be hard getting the strips through the top of the holders and around the kayak if you don't have a longer reach since the kayak is standing on its side.

works super well. I also had one kayak on top of my car. I say had because the kayak was stolen right out of the rack.... BUT this rack is still locked to my car so it's not going anywhere. This rack is really easy to use and was quick to install with my existing Thule bars. I seriously think it took all of 10 minutes to pull the packaging apart and throw it on top. I love not needing assistance to get my gear on and off of my suv. When putting my Kayak on top and securing it to my SUV it would take about 15 min total. I also have 4 Thule systems and this has been firmly attached to my SUV since 2007 and has seen every weather condition possible. What is great about Thule is that their products are designed to not screw up your gear or your car. I am defiantly a loyal supporter of Thule.

I just got this rack and love it. It works really well for whitewater boats. I've even found that the space in the middle of the rack works well for carrying paddles.

The Stacker works great! We easily carry three kayaks (one tandem, two singles) atop our Honda Odyssey. Install the straps through the stacker first and lay them out toward the front and rear of the vehicle. After the kayaks are placed on top a simple flip of the strap and you are ready to secure!

I've got my Stacker on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm carrying (2) 10' kayaks on it. I love it. I can single handedly have my kayaks up on the carrier and tied down in less than 10 min. If it's windy, having another person to hang on to the the first kayak while loading the second is helpful. Another helpful tip is to have your straps in place; next up go the kayaks, toss the straps over the top and then tie them down...simple as that. And I'm looking VERY COOL when going down the road, too. : )-
