The inconsistent reviews for this jacket almost deterred me from buying, but I'm so glad I gave it a try. It fits well and is nice and cozy. I've used it so far for walks and hiking. I think this will be my go to fall jacket.

I ordered it as I have an older NF jacket and love it. My old is S and feels too tight, so I sized up, but size M from Aconcagua is so large and bulky that it does not fit the dimensions given in the sizing chart. It is also very stiff, not light at all, and not at all compressible. It may be a good cheaper jacket for urban wear, but if you are used to performance gear by NF and summit series, you may not be satisfied.

I was a little nervous about this purchase based on the mixed reviews here, however, this jacket exceeded my expectations. It does run a bit small as stated in other reviews. However, I usually wear a medium, and that gives me a little extra room to layer, and ordered a medium in this jacket and it fits perfectly. I am not sure I will be able to layer much underneath, but the fit is really nice. I love the shape of the jacket, very comfortable and very warm! Perfect for our cool, fall weather in the mountains.

It’s not a bad jacket to throw on for cooler temps, wear for running errands, walking the dog. Keeps your upper body warm. Not bulky. Could easily throw into a bag if traveling. Definitely worth the purchase for a fall/early spring jacket when temps are still chilly in the morning and night. I normally wear a small or medium with jackets. Medium fits nicely with a sweatshirt but overall I think the product does run small compared to other North Face products (usually wear a small in this brand).

I purchased this jacket for my daughter and she couldn't even zip it up. I could barely zip it up and it was an XL. I normally wear a medium in a North Face jacket. It looked like an XL for a child when we pulled it out of the package. Returning this tomorrow.

It's almost like the armpits are sewn in the wrong place or arm from a size med jacket are sewn on the XXLarge. Overall just a bit snug, might be OK, but arms are so small I cant move my arms., Also arms are short.Armpit seam hits forward on my chest, Upper chest seems more narrow than back, At least for me, just totally out of proportion in arms and chest. I have another North Face down jacket in a XXLarge, and it fits perfectly with room for layer under and full arm mobility. This one just seems strangely made. Tried reall hard to make it work, but sadly, must return.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing product. First, the color. The shining fabric makes it look cheap. Second, the fit. The jacket is too puffy and totally boxy. There is no defined waist line which makes you look big and unfeminine. And finally, there are no inside pockets, which can cause a lot of inconvenience, if you plan on using the jacket when doing any spots activities. I am really disappointed and am returning it back.

This jacket is perfect for bridging the gap in situations where you are unsure about whether you need to pack a jacket or go light. The cut and lines are also flattering, especially compared to other similar jackets.

This is a really nice jacket. Not heavy but holds in your body heat. However, don’t expect this to be your full time outdoor winter coat. There’s not enough weight to this jacket for that. The problem I have with it is that I’ve recently discovered that everything in women’s sizes by TNF have gone to an “athletic” type of cut. This size small is cut too slim through the lat muscle area. I tried the Apex Bionic jacket previously and found the same issue. Apparently, I’m “too athletic” for their designer. I’m 5’7.5” at about 138 lbs. TNF is no longer my favorite brand. I somehow always fall between sizes where one size is too small but the size up is too big. Great jacket though!

I really wanted to like this jacket but, alas, it really is a bit too shiny. And it's surprisingly bulky. I would not be able to squish this down into a carry on without it taking up significant room. I've had another similar jacket that is very packable. This is not. I'm really bummed. The stitching is very nice. The criss cross in the bodice makes it look less like other jackets that are just square. I wanted to like this jacket so much but I'll be returning it. Note, it's not small, just very slim fit.

I LOVE this jacket! Whenever I wear it I receive tons of compliments. I purchased the coral color and love the fit! Great to put over other layers, it also has a taper versus a boxy fit. Nice for us girls and our figures.

The 2017 design fits a little differently than 2016, which I liked better and wish I'd bought, when I tried it on in the store. The baffles (on the 2017 model) hit high on my body, creating and unflattering puckering just below my chest. The shoulders and hips are just a bit too tight. The lining inside the pockets catches on my skin and fingernails, that's an issue that would drive me crazy over time. Wish I could find just one more of the 2016 in the beautiful metallic black I tried on in the store, now kicking myself for not having bought it. It was a very different jacket in looks, feel and fit.

Love this coat! Purchased for upcoming trip to Colorado. I was worried about the lunar ice grey color because it looks almost white in the pictures. I assure you it is a beautiful light silver color and far from white!!! I could hAve maybe done an XS but I wanted room to layer so I can wear it skiiing.

Love this coat! Great color and fit. I'm 5'10 140lbs athletic build and long arms. Medium fits perfect. I bought this for fall weather and it's the right amount of warmth.
