Whether you're going for a wintry hike or keeping your muscles warm at the base of the crag, The North Face's Sierra Peak Down Hooded Jacket has you covered. Filled with high-loft down, this jacket traps in heat yet packs down small when the day heats up. The slim fit eliminates uncomfortable bunching and helps you look less like a marshmallow, while a DWR treatment sheds light precipitation to protect the down from collapsing.

Love this jacket; it is lightweight, which is convenient for backpacking but also warm. I did not expect this to be warm when I first got it because it does not weigh that much, but I was amazed! I live in Alaska, and having warm jackets is a must! This is perfect to transition in between the seasons, and I also wear it outside to walk the dogs and grab groceries, but I would not use it as my go-to winter jacket in AK as the temps get extremely low. It is perfect for packing when hiking, camping, and even helps block the wind! Happy with this purchase.

I really wanted to love this jacket. It has the specs I wanted, the color I adored and a hood to boot. However I’m one of those women who likes having a fitted style. When it arrived I immediately tried it on and was disappointed in the box type look. I most likely could’ve downsized to a Medium and it might have helped. I’m super bummed that this didn’t work out. That’s the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

I was not happy with this jacket. It was very thin, not worth the cost - and I got it for like 40% off. It was returned.

It is so much more lightweight than I expected. The first day I wore it, on a very cold and windy day, I fell in love. It kept the warmth in and the wind out...and if something protects me from the wind it's an instant win. I sized up and got a L, and the sleeve length is perfect and it has some wiggle room without looking too bulky. Would've gotten a M for a more slim look.
