Your helmet is as essential to shredding as your ski poles or your snowboard boots, so it shouldn't feel like a burden when you're wearing one. The Smith Women's Vantage Helmet offers lightweight and stylish protection with features designed to enhance comfort and provide superior safety on the slopes.

This season, Smith engineered the Vantage with Aerocore construction, which combines lightweight EPS construction with revolutionary Koroyd material. This unique material absorbs more impact than traditional foams while simultaneously improving breathability and reducing weight and bulk. The result is greater comfort, a lighter feel, and improved protection. AirEvac 2 ventilation features 21 vents that can be fully opened on warm spring days, partially closed when temps drop, or completely shut in the middle of a snowstorm.

The Nanosilver lining has a women-specific fit and anti-odor features that keep the helmet from getting too funky. The Snapfit SL2 Ear Pads provide a warm and cozy seal around your ears on colder days, and they're removable for comfort of warm spring days. Plus, they're compatible with Skullcandy audio systems (sold separately) so you can crank up the tunes to keep you stoked while you shred.

The Vantage is hands down my favorite helmet of all time - it's pricey, but it's worth it! Also, massive props to Backcountry for size exchanges! I'll get to that in a hot second... I got my first Vantage in 2014 and quickly realized it was worth the price! My home mountain is Mammoth, so temps can range quite a bit. The ventilation on this helmet is the best, especially for spring days. It's also super warm and toasty for those bitter winter months. The protection is stellar on this helmet too - I haven't hit my head a lot, but my husband's Vantage has taken a beating and it's definitely saved his brain! Since our Vantages had taken a beating (mine was still pretty good), we got Variances a season or two ago. Figured we'd mix it up a bit - great protection and overall a superb helmet, but not the same. We both noticed the fit on that helmet was a bit different and neither of us really loved it. So, we decided to just get new Vantages this season. Why mess with a good thing? One thing of note with the recent iterations of the Vantage... they seem to fit smaller! I ordered a Medium, my size in all Smith helmets, and it fit like a small (couldn't even really get it properly on my head). Thanks to Backcountry (Ashleigh is the BEST!), I was able to exchange it for a Large and it fits just like my old Vantage. My husband also said the new Large is tighter than his old one, so he's upping his size too when it comes in. So, if you have older models that you are use to, I suggest maybe ordering a size up... or maybe you'll be lucky and the sizing is the same. My head measures in the middle of the Medium size range for reference.

After losing my helmet I was looking for a replacement and couldn't have made a better choice! This helmet has extremely warm lining and ear-pads, but is also incredibly breathable with the adjustable venting on the top! It fits great with Smith and Giro goggles (not sure about other brands). I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for something to keep them safe while still looking good!

My last Smith Vantage Helmet saved my life and I love this new one too. This helmets fits and looks great and I have the confidence of knowing that I am safer on the mountain. I survived a brutal fall in Alaska with my last Smith helmet and my head came out better than other parts. I will forever be loyal to Smith... and I love the look and fit of this helmet. Thank you.

Bought this as a birthday gift for my friend and she loves it! It fits seamlessly with her goggles and she especially likes the fuzzy liner. The adjustable boa makes for a perfect fit.

Smith makes the best helmets out there for skiing and the Vantage is at the top of their helmet line. It is safe, comfortable, flattering, and fits well. Smith goggles fit perfectly around helmet for an unbeatable combination.

Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Love the adjustability and the neat venting options-two sets of vents that can open and close independently. Very comfortable, lightweight, and warm.

This helmet is wonderful! It’s so comfortable, I forget I’m wearing it, and at the same time provides a nice warm cover for my head. I like the look of this helmet over any others out there.

This helmet is super ventilated. It is one of the most comfortable lightweight helmets I have ever used, and I feel pretty stylish wearing it. SMITH really set the bar with this one.

I cant say enough good things about this helmet. Its smiths flagship helmet for a reason. After years of having one for myself I picked one up for my girlfriend and she loves it just as much as I do. Super lightweight, and very low profile. After a few minutes of having it on you can forget you are wearing it. 2 ventilation controls with multiple settings gives you great control over your airflow and comfort. Adjustable fit dial allows you to dial in your perfect fit and cradles your head nicely. Fits great with any of smiths goggles to take advantage of their super well designed air evac system to prevent fogging goggles.

'Member feelin safe? Well you don't have to forget if you have the Vantage. First of all, it's so comfortable that it's definitely more uncomfortable NOT to wear it. The soft lining and fuzzy insulated ears feel like a dream. Not to mention that you have the luxury of zipping your ear buds into the lining for a seamless jam-while-riding session. You can open and close the venting system which I find super handy. Safety is definitely more important than fashion, but it's nice if you can have both. The Vantage definitely makes that happen with a shape that isn't too bulky, and a variety of fabulous color options. I opted for the pink so that my group will never lose me! Thanks to the BOA system, the Vantage is really adjustable making it really secure on your head. Sometimes helmets get a little loose as the lining packs out, but the BOA system eliminates this. I bought a size small which was perfect. If you have any further questions about this product I am happy to help! You can call me directly at 801-619-7488, or email me at kansari@backcountry.com.

I'm already partial to Smith gear after years of great experience with their goggles, sunnies, and helmets, and the Vantage is no exception. I had to wait 6 years before my old Smith helmet showed slight signs of wear and I could justify ordering a new one, and the wait was worth it. The Koroyd venting is a serious step up from the old retractable vents, and after dealing with a slight (but still very dorky) gaper gap with my old Smith helmet and goggles, I'm thrilled to see the Vantage and the IO/S pair together without the slightest hint of a gap. This helmet's light and durable, and the plush ear pads help so much with staying warm on cold days. I ordered the pink color, and the top part of the helmet is just a slightly darker shade than what the picture looks like. If you're afraid of looking too neon in the pink, the color's turned out to be a bit subtler than what I thought, and still beautiful.

I gave this as a gift but from i have been told this helmet is great. It has awesome ventilation for those warmer days and it's nice and comfortable as well. Many helmets are goofy looking but this one doesn't fall in that category. The look of the helmet is sleek and the color options available should be able to please just about anyone's preference.

I love this helmet! It is warm, stylish, light weight, low profile, and sturdy. I will even leave it on while having an apres beer because I forget I'm wearing it and it keeps my head warm. I haven't worn it on a warm day yet, but there are 2 vent options, so I'm sure I won't have any issues. I was torn between an medium and large, and went with the large. I wasn't sure at first if it was too big, but went and tried on a medium and that was way too small. I have a rather large head so I'm usually a large.

I love this helmet. Not only can my buddies spot me out on the mountain but the technology incorporated into this helmet are top of the line. The Boa FS360 fit system ensures a perfect fit for anyone. Fits your head nice and snug. The combination of the Aerocore technology featuring Koroyd,EPS foam makes me feel confident while I am skiing and it makes me push myself harder because I know my head is going to be safe. The ear covers are amazing! They keep my head nice and toasty without having to wear a beanie under my helmet because lets be honest, we all know that that isn't comfortable.

I bought this for my girlfriend in the turquoise color and whenever we ride she stands out and it really is a great color. She also got the smith i/os women's goggles which fit perfectly with the helmet. According to her, the helmet is very comfortable, warm and still circulates air well. Really killer helmet for any lady who wants fashion, function and fit!

First off, I have to start my review off giving Smith some praise. They have been and continue to be my go to for helmets, goggles, and sunglasses. This particular helmet is ridiculously light, with all of the protection that you'd get from a much heavier helmet. If not for your ears being covered it's hard to notice this is even on your head. It's extremely convenient that the vents are so adjustable. Hot day on the mountain? Open all of the vents up. Freezing day? Close whichever vents help keep your head warm. There honestly isn't any reason you shouldn't be protecting your head when engaging in high impact activities. If your excuse is disliking the weight or heat a helmet adds on, this is what you should get, problem solved.
