After getting a mild concussion while riding at Killington, I needed a new helmet. This one from Smith fits the bill. It pairs perfectly with my Smith Virtue goggles, is warm when I need it and vented when I don't, and has the piece of mind that comes with the MIPS technology. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is that (luckily) I haven't tested it's impact protection to have an opinion to offer. I only wish I had waited to get it at year end 40% off, as it is a pricey $260 regularly, but better not to take chances with one's brain, right?

I took other reviewers' advice to size up. The fit is still snug, but with no pressure points including on the ear pads. I love the matte finish and the brim. I bought the IO goggles as well, and they fit together seamlessly. I would highly recommend this helmet to others.

This is actually my first snowboard helmet, I know bad... I kept trying on different ones and it's really hard to find one that looks good. This one does. And hey, plus it protects my brain when I crash lol

I love this helmet. Everyday I'm out skiing I know that my head is protected when I wear this. The fit is great and very adjustable with the BOA system. The visor is so helpful, I never get a helmet without one. The inside of the helmet is cozy and keeps my head and ears warm.

I trust the Smith Vantage MIPS helmet to keep my head protected on the slopes. it has two sets of vents that cover almost the whole helmet, is audio-compatible, and has a BOA system to dial in the perfect fit. It looks great and is really comfortable!

This helmet is great and well designed. It does run small though.

Light and breathable! I had to return a different helmet because I couldn't get the fit dialed....thanks to the BOA adjustment system, you can dial this in to get the perfect fit. The vents are perfect for when your noggin gets a bit warm, and the helmet is compatible with the Skullcandy audio system as well. Comfy and keeps my head protected with MIPS technology

Granted I had a pretty old/crappy helmet before this upgrade, I LOVE this helmet. It is warm, comfy, and I don't look like a gaper compared to my old one! I would HIGHLY recommend this helmet.

My wife wore her new helmet and was happy with the comfort and adjustability. She has a rather small head but felt the small was too tight when adjusted to the largest setting. She ordered a medium and it fits great when adjusted.

My helmet game was in need of a major upgrade. I love the look of the Smith helmets over the past 2 seasons. I really like the two vent system that allows customization in any type of mountain conditions. Very comfortable. Definitely worth the extra money to get the MIPS version. Protect your brain.

After having multiple bike helmets with MIPS, I thought it was time to equip my ski helmet with the same brain-saving technology. I've been so pleased with the fit and comfort with the Vantage that I forget it is also providing more protection! Two vent adjustments allow for great temperature regulation. I purchased a medium in this helmet as my previous Smith ski helmet is a medium. The vantage fits a bit tighter than my earlier helmet, but still very comfortable. It seems that Smith could standardize their sizing a bit because I wear a small in a Smith Forefront bike helmet, but could barely fit a small Vantage on my head.

I have had a couple of different Smith Helmets over the years, but the Vantage is definitely top of the line when it comes to ski helmets. The Women's Vantage has a very flattering fit, isn't too bulky, breathes well, and is very warm. I love the adjustable boa system in the back, so i can loosen up and tighten it depending on what I am skiing. Got the purple grape color and was unsure of it based on pictures but love it in person!

If you're thinking about sending the Smith Vantage MIPS helmet, just do it. It's got a solid true to size fit, MIPS technology (why would you want anything else? Love yourself.), an awesome ventilation system to keep your warm or dump heat, audio capability, the boa in the back to adjust your fit, and a really clean design that makes you look great on the slopes.

I bought this helmet for my wife for christmas, and she has really enjoyed this helmet. The adjustable boa fit is easy to adjust with a single hand. The MIPS keeps her head protected and the helmet is super light and breathable with 2 vent controls. Her only complaint has been the color choices. She went with black but would of preferred a more vibrant color.

This helmet rocks. It's comfortable with a nice inner cushion that hugs your head without being too tight. It's easy to adjust and comes in great colors too!

A buddy of mine just bonked his head so hard he couldn't remember his wife. His lack of remembering reminded me to write a description for this helmet. He had a similar MIPS helmet, and his concussion would have been so bad that he would have forgotten his name if he didn't have MIPS in his helmet.

Love the ventilation and side padding. Super comfortable and that is just as important as saving my noggin on the ski slopes!
