Escaping the blazing heat of mid-June Tucson is sometimes as easy as taking a trip up Mount Lemmon with The Pearl Izumi Men's ELITE Escape Graphic Jersey. This textured cycling jersey uses cooling technology incorporated into its fabric, encouraging air flow against your skin while wicking away excess moisture with all the energy-consuming, temperature-lowering science of evaporation. A full-length zipper utilizes a semi-autolock feature in order to stay in place, but it can easily be flipped up single-handedly when you need additional venting, and a UPF rating of 50+ blocks harmful UV rays beaming out of that harsh sun above. With 5000 feet of elevation gain, the trip to the top can be arduous in and of itself, but the cool air and amazing views are a just reward for hard work, and the cooling action of the ELITE Escape makes it all the easier to endure.

It strikes me that many, many of the color options for jerseys could be called some shade of asphalt. From bleached asphalt to dark asphalt and every shade in-between, there are only thin stripes or dots or other small details to give motorists a heads up. So I just have to ask the mfgs, are you TRYING to get us killed? Seriously, who picks these colors?

I normally wear medium size, but this one is smaller than others

I generally wear Small sized jerseys and haven't really had any issues with any of them being too small for me, but I purchased a Medium of this jersey and it was tighter than any of my other Smalls especially in the shoulders and the chest/waist. Margaret, who I chatted with online, was super helpful and made my return process nice and easy.

Good God these shirts run small! Be forewarned, if you've bought PI shirts before, these don't remotely fit like those, nor do they match the size chart. I wish I'd read the reviews first, because these are least one, if not two sizes small according from the chart. I normally wear a large, and I couldn't have zipped these shut if my life depended on it.

This jersey runs very small. I typically wear a small and this thing makes me want to go on a diet just to look good in it. I like the full zipper and it is good for aerodynamics but just be warned. Definitely not a good everyday jersey.

Quality is as good as any of Pearl's products but had to return because it runs one size smaller than the chart indicated.
