Without a well-functioning noggin, picking a clean line through technical terrain is pretty much rendered obsolete. So do your due diligence and protect your melon with the Oakley Mod 5 Helmet. Not only is the Mod 5 stylish as all heck, but it features a hybrid shell construction that ensures it stays lightweight without skimping on protection. Additionally, the Modular Brim System ensures that no matter what goggles you pair with it, you won't get that brain-freeze-inducing gap, while the Adjustable Venting ensures customized comfort. And speaking of customization, the liner and ear pads are fully removable and washable, which is bound to come in handy on those warmer spring days. Not to mention, the Boa dial provides a personalized, fine-tuned fit, so your helmet isn't sloshing around like a rogue child going bee-lining it through the moguls.

I was super stoked about this helmet, they match my neon orange Oakley snowboarding pants. I checked the sizing chart and tried on other helmets to make sure this would fit. Unfortunately when I got this helmet the sizing around the largest part of my head was just a bit smaller than expected. I got the same size I wear in other helmets and this just ran a bit too small for me to keep it. I would recommend considering slightly larger sizing than normal. Other than that this is a sick helmet and would definitely recommend.

Bought this for my cousin. He's not a "helmet guy" but this one seemed to catch his eye. keep your head safe no dollar amount is worth ending up injured or worse. Proper sizing is key with any helmet. I made him try them on one day to find the right size before buying.

Oakley has done a nice job with this helmet, and was able to find a way to make it work with all of their goggles. For several years I have tried most of the helmet manufacturers out there, to try and find something that will work with my Flight Deck goggles. Nothing until now, fit so well. Oddly enough, I find the Small Brim to work the best - creates the tightest seal with very little gap. The helmet itself is very comfortable, easily adjusts, vents well, holds heat when needed, and weighs just right - not the lightest, but not so heavy you constantly are reminded it is on. Starring you right back in the eye, is the glaring failure of audio compatibility. While the ear cup design is very comfortable, the little "drop in" slot does not provide enough room to insert after market bluetooth audio - such as Chips - without causing significant discomfort. For me the helmet is still a keeper, and now I just need to use my Outdoor Tech Adapt to make my wired headphones wireless - but in this example, the ear cup design is flawless.
