I slammed almost head first into a tree according to ski patrol and a tracking app at about 45mph this last winter. I was wearing this helmet when I did, and I came out of it with a concussion only. Without a helmet on I would have died or been much more severely injured, and this is the helmet that made sure I got to the hospital and back in my bed at home that evening. It might be on the cheaper end and not have as many features, but it will keep that mushy melon in between your ears safe so you can shred another day.

I've tried a lot of different helmets over the years and this is definitely my favorite to date. It's light, snug but comfortable, and breaths really well. The low profile is a huge plus/must as is the lack of goggle gaper gap. Highly recommend the Ledge MIPS.... because why wouldn't you get the MIPS?!

I love the Ledge so much that I bought two of them. My head feels incredible secure and the comfort and fit works for any head shape. I've taken some hits to the head wearing it and felt totally fine, so I feel super protected. I like to buy a medium so I have room for a thin hat underneath, and then the earpads keep my head warm on storm days or I can take them out and comfortably fit my goggles under my helmet when I ski park. The ledge is low-profile and simple, so it looks really sleek and cool, and it fits seamlessly with all my Giro goggles. Also, the price for a helmet of this quality is pretty unbeatable. I can't recommend it enough to anyone!
