Paddling has a tendency to wreck your shorts. Rather than trashing your trunks at the end of every adventure, snag the Kavu Big Eddy Shorts. DWR-coated nylon resist sand, salt, sun, and mildew and can handle more than a handful of float trips. These river shorts dry quickly at the take-out and look presentable in town. Kavu designed them with an elastic waistband that won't dig into your gut.

These shorts have performed in every task I've demanded of them. They dry quite fast, they have sizable pockets (and an internal wallet pocket within the back-right pocket), are adjustable, and show very little sign of wear and tear. I've taken them on canoe trips, multi-day hiking trips, rock climbing, around town, swimming, etc. My two worries: 1) the nylon belt has a rough, melted edge at the end that rubs against the right hip and is starting to fray the material there, causing it to pill. Easily avoided. 2) The button on the front is relatively weak. It's not integral for the 'security' of the shorts (it has a zipper and a clipping belt), but it could be stronger. Overall, very pleased. Would buy a second pair.

They're true to size, comfortable, have deep pockets and seem well constructed.

I have used these all summer working as a kayak guide on the saltwater creeks. They fit great, dry fast and look sharp. Deep back pockets are large enough for a small tackle box. There is no annoying net inside. Update. They are starting to wear thin, but to be fair I abuse clothes.

Woah, these are the coolest. First off, butt pockets go sooooo deep. You could fit whole cans in those Mary popping style. 32 fits great and even better with the winch waist. I will be ordering every color.

These run a bit small, so probably get one size bigger like I needed to. After I got the right size, these are fast becoming my favorite shorts. The mobility is better than the Pat Baggies I've normally used, they've got drain holes in the pockets, and the back right pocket has a nice little small pocket with a velcro closure just the right size for a few cards and cash if you want that secure when you jump off that cliff, or get trundeled in some surf.

A nice pair of shorts, but had an odd fit. The shorts are true to size, but feel tight when you are trying to get them on. Could have provided a little more room in the seat as you will probably use the shorts doing some type of activity. Another sub par delivery by Kavu.

if you prefer the feeling of wearing nothing at all... these are as close as you can get... it's these and nothing else for the ultimate comfort whether actually in the water, doing work or driving for 10 hours when you don't need any 'distractions'... buy some... buy a couple.
