Cant say enough about how much i love the quality products and culture coming out of this brand. They put such creative twists on classic products to make them great. These river shorts are no exception. Look at the pattern options. On top of that they are super comfortable on the river. They have a mesh liner to get it all together for a long day of floating or where ever your journey takes you. The 8 inch inseam is perfect right above the need maybe a little more but not too short. Finally i was bummed with two unsecure pockets until i found the security pocket which is key. I have been living in these shorts all summer and the durability has been great. Overall you are getting a great product from a great group of folks at Kavu! Sizing i am a 32-33 currently running a medium.

So far these shorts have been great. I picked them up the other day and am impressed so far. I got them for mostly fly fishing and any boating activities. The shorts are super light and are definitely going to be a quick drying short, I already spilled beer on them and they held up. The shorts do have two front pockets which are nice, and they even have a small zippered mesh pocket inside of the front pocket. It's always nice having a zippered pocket on the river so you can bring your keys for the shuttle, or any other necessity. Shorts would have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for the liner, and also these shorts are fairly large. I dont want to say they are overly big or run big, but they are just a bit boxy. The smalls fit me and i have about a 31 inch waist. The shorts are just cut more like a khaki short then say a similar short in the Patagonia Baggies is cut.

I've found these shorts to be good for various activities because of the front pockets. They could be used, as I've done, for running, tennis and jumping in the pool. The liner is comfortable and they look good. The river blue color was much more of a royal blue than the picture shows.

Product made well enough, but completely lost its color after sitting in hot tub on a cruise. Discoloration is continuing and in uneven fashion. Area where I sit is much darker.

They get the job done but certainly not a lot special about them. They do dry quickly. The mesh is pretty uncomfortable, I cut the mesh out.

These shorts are perfect for some paddling. They're quick-drying, extremely comfortable, and have a zipper next to the right side pocket for keys, etc. The pockets are deep as well. The lining, on the inside, though, isn't that strong, and is prone to rip. Other than that, I would highly recommend these shorts if you're looking for a great paddling short.
