The Women's Saturday Trail Pant comes in a casual style so you can wear it in the city, even though Columbia clearly designed it for hiking. Its Summiteer Lite fabric stretches for mobility and has a lightweight feel for all-day comfort. Columbia added an Omni-Shield treatment to resist water, and Omni-Shade technology helps this pant shield your skin from the sun's harmful rays. The Saturday Trail's active fit includes a mid rise and a gusset for freedom of movement, and there are roll-up tabs that convert this pant into a capri.

First impressions: These are flattering AND comfortable. Can't wait to try them on the trail. Absolutely perfect fit for me, from waist to cuff. Exactly the size I would have expected from the size chart. I was just looking to see if they have more in my size because I can tell I would like more of these in more colors. I've tried a lot of pants recently (esp Kuhl and Prana) and this are way more flattering than what I've been finding. Lightweight material, just the right amount of it. I agree the pockets are useless! I don't usually carry stuff in my pockets so I don't care. (I do like one deep well-placed pocket to slip my phone, but Kuhl seems to be the only brand I've found that does this right.) I wish Backcountry made it possible to search for short sizes! It would make my life so much easier.

Great fabric, and I like the roll-up snaps for making these into crops. Pockets are useless in my opinion. The front two pockets are not deep enough to hold anything securely, and they flare out when I am both standing and sitting. The zippered security pocket is nice for a credit card or key, but won't fit a phone. The back pockets are smaller that I had hoped-and difficult to access one-handed with the velcro closure. I wish these were a little higher waisted! I sized up to a 4 from my usual 2- and glad I did. They fit snug but well- kind of short in the waist to crotch measurement. I'll be returning until I find a pant I really love along these lines- these were close!

I'm 5'4" 120 and the size 2 Regular is perfect. for a slim but completely comfortable fit. Love the slight stretchiness, but they still hold their shape nicely. Fabric is pretty lightweight, so not insulating, but blocks the wind well.

These are my favorite hiking pants, regardless of them being 4/5 stars. They fit curves well and I love the amount of storage these pants have. I climb, hike, and wear these pants to work/clinicals. They're awesome. Just be aware that they do pill up in the crotch area over time. But I LOVE these, I have several pairs. I'm a size 8 the first time (found out they run tight in the waist), and sized up and got a 10 and they work great.

My wife loves the fit of these pants. She even wore them to work because they were so comfortabke. They are soft and a little stretchy. She has yet to try hiking in them.

Very nice look. Thought they would suit a hike plus after food. I kept them for the nice fit and fabric, but they failed to make the cut for a hiking vacation after a try out. Front pockets do not function as expected. Stuff falls out.

I've always been skeptical about hiking pants, fearing they might feel too tight when hiking or I'll get overheated, but I wish I had bought these sooner. They are stretchy and do not feel restricting at all while hiking. The fabric is light enough that I didn't get hot hiking in 60F weather. I read some of the other reviews about it running small, but I did not experience that. I thought they ran true to form. I would highly recommend these pants to anyone who are looking for some good hiking or work pants.

I own a couple pairs and I wear these pants nearly everyday to work, and also hiking— they’re very versatile. I’ve accidentally dropped a lot of stuff on these pants, and it wipes right off! No staining. The gusseted knees make the pants super stretchy and easy to move in. I’ve been wearing a baselayer underneath, and they fit a little too snug, but still able to button the pants. These pants are great! When rolled up into a capri, they fit at the perfect length for my height. These pants are incredibly durable.

I own three pairs of these Columbia pants from several years ago. I decided to upgrade to a new pair and thought they would be the same fit. But no. They run one size smaller. I ordered other Columbia pants last year and they were perfect so I think it is just the sizing on these. I am returning and won't be replacing them.

I love the Columbia Anytime Outdoor Boot Cut Pant so presumed I would love these...WRONG! I ordered the exact same size and yet these are so much smaller! I wear a 4 in Prana and typically a 6 in Columbia, but these pants were quite snug and very hard to button. I'm returning them and not replacing them with a larger size because the cut is just weird.

I had tried these pants on at stores before but alas even being only 5"7 these pants were always so short on me and had a gapping waist. So I ordered the 4L (I normally wear a size 6/29) from here and LOVE them. Normally I also need high rise everything to stay on but these just hit my hips perfectly. The only thing I would change is I really wish the crotch was lower- what is up with all women's products being so restricting in that area? But besides that I love them!!

I was excited about these pants as my husband has a pair of lightweight, stretchy Columbia hiking pants that are very nice-- water-resistant, dry fast, cool, easy to wear over long underwear if necessary. I am 5'1

These pants are AMAZING! I have had such a hard time finding pants that are long enough, I'd almost given up. Thank goodness for Columbia making pants in Long sizes. Due to my issue with finding long enough pants, I was fully expecting to have to return these. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on and have already warn them on two wintery hikes over a baselayer. They are super confortable and stretchy but very light, so I will likely be using them mainly in the summer months. After reading the other reviews stating that these run small, I sized up to a 4 instead of my usual 2 and am happy I did. The 4 fit perfectly with a little wiggle room (which is what I want in pants that I'll be hiking in). Stoked to buy another pair of these soon!

I wear A LOT of Columbia clothes so am very surprised that these pants arrived with such a weird cut... length and all else in fit is great as always save for the the rise.. a rise which makes its way a little too far north creating an uncomfortable camel toe... camel toe is great for funny party gags, not so much for hiking and adventure activities... Might be a one off pair though I now have pause buying any more of their pants without trying on just in case this is a permanent new feature... bummed and returning. (Should I be laughing so hard at the notion of posting an image with my review?!? bahaha )

They are comfortable, flattering, stretchy, and soft. The waistband sits a little higher, so there's never any issue with the pants riding down in the back. There are 2 snaps at the waist, which makes for a wider distribution of pressure on the belly. The pockets are good-sized. I can't say one thing wrong about these pants except I only own 2 pairs. I'd wear them every day if I could.

I searched online to find a slim women's hiking pant and these are amazing. They are slender instead of baggy like most, and the material is comfortable and water resistant. Wore them hiking and camping and love them! Ordering another pair in a different color. Love that they roll up as well for when you get hot on a hike. They were also great in 35 degree early morning weather with a medium level base layer underneath. The size 2 fit great, though I normally wear a 0-1 or 24, so they do run small for a 2.

These pants are very soft and stretchy. I am 5'3" 119lb the 4 Short was a perfect fit. They dry quickly. They would not be warm on cool days.
