If you're looking for a reliable shell at an affordable price that you can bring along just about anywhere, the Columbia Women's Arcadia II Rain Jacket will do just the trick. The jacket packs down into one of its hand pockets, so you'll never have to leave it behind, but its Omni-Tech laminate and fully taped seams provide waterproof protection whether you're on the trail or in town. Omni-Tech is also highly breathable, meaning it lets moisture, like perspiration, escape for comfort when you're working up a sweat. The jacket's mesh lining enhances ventilation so you don't get overly clammy in warmer temperatures, or sweat-soaked and cold when it's chilly. Cinch down the adjustable hood and hem if you need extra protection, and protect small essentials from the elements in the secure zippered hand pockets.

The jacket took a while to get here but finally arrived. It's a nice jacket but it is definitely too big for me. I used the size chart and went with an XL based on my clothing size. I am 5'4 170. (sz 16) The sleeves are way too long and even with a hoodie the jacket is too large for me.

I really like this jacket for many reasons: it is lightweight, not bulky, layerable underneath. Overall happy with this purchase.

Bought this for my wife. She said she needed a large and this fits like she expected. So far she likes it. I'd didn't realize that it didn't have zippered arm pits. Otherwise, we love it. The color is accurate to the web picture. She likes the fact that it shows into the left hand pocket.

I was looking for something to keep me dry but not too heavy. Used this in Oregon and stood by a balding waterfall and my clothes didn’t get wet! Love this jacket.

The rain jacket is something she has been looking forward too so much! Because of all the rain we have been getting she has been so jealous of my marmot rain shell. So, we got this Columbia and boy does she love it. The fit is perfect - it is keeping her dry and blocks out wind VERY WELL! And she loves the way the hood cinches keeping rain off of her face. But the sleeping pad at first made me worried. It sounded like a plastic bag when you move around on it, but knowing it is a Therm-a-Rest and my excited wife was rolling around like crazy on it, made those worries pass away. I love how small and light it is and in through it feel solid!

This jacket is the women's equivalent of the MEN'S WATERTIGHT™ II JACKET which is one of the best on the market in my opinion. I bought this for my wife and she adores it! This jacket is great for the trail or even just for cool mornings in town. I can't give a higher recommendation!

This is a good lightweight rain jacket. I had a XS for about 10 years and wore most of the year when it rained. Finally it had gotten to the point where it wasn’t really water resistant but still looks great. I wore the jacket hundreds of times. It is a lightweight jacket and this time around I decided to order a S instead of the XS so I could layer if needed. The XS was more of a length that I preferred but I am happy with the S. This is a rain jacket that I expect to last a while, just like my old one did.

I like Columbia, & this jacket would probably work for some people, but didn't for me. I tried both the small & XS, both of which fit, but the XS is more fitted & would be snug with a sweater underneath. The sleeves were too long on the Small, altho they do have velcro tabs to adjust around the wrist. The jacket has a mesh lining for breathability, which makes it a little warmer/heavier (a pro or con depending on your needs) but also bulkier to pack. The hood is an oval cut-out, rather than the 2-piece style that provides better coverage in heavy rain. But the real downside to the hood is that the pulls to adjust it are not closed loops ~ when you pull them to snug the hood up around your face, it leaves tails by your chin that would flap in the wind. Very annoying, & I have no idea why Columbia did that, since the pulls on the print version of this jacket are closed loops. The hood also can't be adjusted for size from the back, or stowed in the collar when it's not raining. Overall, if you need a basic waterproof rain jacket at a very reasonable price, & are willing to overlook the drawbacks, this would work. And it does come in a nice range of colors. But there are better options.

Ordered this in black and I love how sleek and simple it is. It does its job great and actually provides some warmth as well. I often have trouble finding jackets that fit my body and arm length but this one did both.

Got this jacket for my mom and she likes it. Worked quite well at keeping her dry in moderate to heavy rain fall. The fit is comfortable and accurate. If my mom likes it so will you!
