This is a great rain jacket. It's lightweight, and definitely repels the water well. I have worn it several times, and I love it. They offer great colors to choose from also.

I was looking for a lightweight rain jacket that packs up small and this fits the bill (folds up into one of the pockets for traveling) . I'm vertically challenged :) and the fit is perfect as the bottom seam comes below my hips. The jacket is comfortable and moves very well in hiking and scrambling, with room for layers underneath. The green color is as pictured.

I bought this jacket 10 years ago and loved it. I needed a new one and was excited when I found the same one. When I tried it on it is tapered around the bottom which falls midway on your backside. It’s eithwr too tight or you have to shift it up above your butt. Not what I expected out of a waist length rain coat

I bought this for my mom and she's very pleased with the design of this jacket. The adjustable wrists and hoodie and fully sealed seams are two of the highlights she pointed out. So far, it seems to be a great product for going to a very rain-heavy kind of place.

I got this jacket recently in dark blue heather, but it's definitely more purple than blue. I love the functionality and features ( i.e. pit zips) for the price. So far it hasn't been tested under really wet conditions, but it is well-sealed and I think it will be a good match for our gulf-coast downpours. I've layered it a fair bit for temperatures in the 40's, and it works fine, but is maybe a little more snug than I would ideally like.

Bought this jacket for myself, and I love it. So light weight, perfect for those rainy days to stay nice and warm. I definitely reccomend to anyone.

It was water resistant in the beginning until I washed it for the first time, water doesn't penetrate through, but it definitely looks like you're soaked. You can see where the water or rain hits the jacket. Mind you that it is a rain jacket and you need multiple layers under this to stay warm.

Packs up small, form fitting for a feminine look. Order size up if you want to layer. Taken on so many trips and kept me dry.

I've always purchased The North Face's Venture jacket for several years now. I'm now a senior in college, so it was about time for a new one (the lining of my first one was peeling out). When I bought this product, I was hoping it would be the same and have little differences than the original version. The Venture 2, definitely works for keeping rain out and a great windbreaker- don't get me wrong at all, I still love it...it's just a tad bit different. I was originally hoping it would be the same flexible, soft shell, but the grey one I bout is a lot harder and stiff compared to the first one. I also got a size medium, which was the same size of my original one. The fit is a bit more slim for this version. If you're someone like me who loves to layer, order a size up because the size medium was very fit to my body compared to the older version. Besides those few issues, the jacket still works great!

This jacket looks good, fits well, and is generally awesome. My wife wore it during a very rainy and cold half marathon and was kept super dry the entire time. She was soaked everywhere else but not under the jacket. Great wind breaker too. She layers with it a lot, with a jacket underneath when needed.

Geeze what I can I say? This product is exactly what it promises. 100% waterproof. Super light to carry in a pack and to wear. Holds in body heat when you want to be warm way better than you would think for something so light, but also vents out those zippered armpits real nice, too. I am most OBSESSED with how well it velcrows and zips up around the neck without irritating your skin under the chin or catching your hair in the zipper. It you've ever had chin rash or caught up hair you'll know what I mean and I promise this coat is a game changer. Also has a great little built in awning??? So rain won't drip in your face even if you forget a hat. Oh, also....good colors, flattering fit, perfect for backpacking, climbing, camping, field research, or just a rainy day in town.

The jacket looks great and has good ventilation as well as the zipper and velcro closures are a nice addition... however it does not keep you dry if it is actually raining.. sprinkling yes... rain nope.

I’m so happy with the product that I received! I’m 5’2” 114lbs & got a small which fits perfectly with some extra room for clothing. And I’m so impressed with Backcountry!!! That’s really the reason why I’m writing this review is bc I’m so happy with the free 2day shipping they had offer and just beyond stoked bc I recently purchased the same product from the official Northface website and never received the item bc it got lost and they couldn’t order me another one bc of “out of stock” so thankfully I found the same item in my size and shade on here!! So thank you backcountry for being a lifesaver!!!

I bought this to have a versatile jacket during the unpredictable Spring months. I love the color and this jacket has kept me dry during some rainy hikes this season. My only issue is I wish the arms fit me a little better, but I have this issue with a lot of outdoor brands.

She loves it! Moab can be a rainy mess this time of year, and the Venture proved to keep the water at bay when she needed it most. Seems like the fit is pretty good, Albeit leaving a good amount of room for layering. Heathered Red was a shade on the pink side, but not bad at all.

This jacket would make a great rain jacket. I prefer a less "crunchy" jacket though. I don't like to hear my jacket every time I move. It is very light weight but not sure how many seasons it would last because of the material but I know nothing about rain coats. I ended up returning it for a softer shell, more versatile jacket. The color "collar blue" is a beautiful color! Just like the picture.

I gave this to my sister for Christmas and now I'm the favorite sibling. She loves the color and weight of the jacket. Living in California's Central Valley, she doesn't need heavy outerwear so this is perfect for the chilly, foggy mornings and occasional drizzle. She has a long torso and appreciates that the jacket actually comes down to about mid-hip which means no plumber's crack when playing with her kiddos!
