The "L" in Volcom's Men's L Gore-Tex Jacket stands for lightweight, and the "Gore-Tex" stands for waterproof and breathable. Fully taped seams prevent powder, snowfall, and even a single snowflake from seeping through, and the V-Science breathable lining system makes this jacket comfortable on sweaty, steep skins to the summit. Volcom's Guide-Proven Technology gives the L Jacket a semi-relaxed fit with a straight hem for straight-up stylin' and easy layering. Zippers under each arm offer ventilated airflow, and the powder skirt adjusts for secure coverage. Volcom's Zip Tech connects this jacket to compatible ski pants for complete coverage.

The inside right jacket pocket button is totally bent and the button wouldn't even snap on fresh out of the box. The waist band is constantly tugging on me as well despite my loosening it up. No instructions on how to use every part of the jacket either (what's with the zipper that hangs down that doesn't zip?) Also, it would have been nice to know that there was a option to have a longer back. Your search engine filter is trash as well as your website layout interactability just like amazon.

I purchased a medium because I also purchased the medium sized volcom gore-Tex pants after trying a large that was too big. For my side the jacket feels a tad small but I’m afraid that a large would be too big. I don’t notice any restriction in mobility so I think I’ll stick with this size. I’ll update the review once I actually put it to use.

Got this on sale and It’s a great shell jacket. Enough pockets in the right places, the zip tech is amazing for pow days and while not the warmest option (remember it’s only a shell), it keeps wind out great. Very happy with my purchase. It does run a little big but not enough for me to size down. Plus you want your boarding clothes to have some give for flexibility.

This has been the best winter coat I've owned for snowboarding. It is a non insulated lightweight shell that is amazing for layering. I personally prefer layering vs insulated coats for the versatility that layering provides. The vents are amazing, pockets are conveniently placed and fully loaded with taped "waterproof" zippers keeping everything perfectly dry. Love the way it fits however was disappointed when i order a M and realized i needed a Small. I would suggest sizing down if you're unsure about what size you need.

I was due for a new snowboard jacket and I love how light weight it is. Feels great once I put it on and excited to test it out on Tahoe Powder this weekend. I paired it up with the Volcom Gore-Tex Rain bibs. The only downfall to this jacket is there's no sleeve pocket for your pass. I'm still happy with the purchase!

If you want a jacket that's only a goretex shell, with no insulation what-so-ever, this is your jacket. Otherwise look elsewhere. I can't believe a $260 jacket is only a shell. It's also huge. I'm 6'1" 180lbs and the large size, has sleeves that go just past my fingertips. Between the lack of a thorough description of the jacket, and getting spammed with backcountry's email ads, despite unsubscribing 3 times, I'll be returning this coat and shopping elsewhere.

Seriously, best bang for the buck. For $260, this jacket doesn't just cover all of the bases, it hits it out of the park. The gore tex shell construction and fit is great in all types of weather. On sunny days, you can run it as a shell and the gore tex fabric is slush proof but breathable. On the colder snowy days, it's regular fit allows for an insulated layer underneath, and again the gore tex fabric will keep you dry all day. The reason I really love this jacket it the integration of their Zip Tech technology when combined with Volcom brand pants. This tech allows the user to zip the powder skirt to the pants, eliminating the possibility of any snow getting in between the layers and getting you wet. Because of this patented tech, you'll have a hard time separating me from volcom goretex outerwear products in the years to come.

I love this jacket! The small ran short for my arms so I got a medium and it's perfect! Zip-tech keeps me dry, internal pocket for media is wonderful, outer chest pocket holds my RFID pass and I just get close, yeeeah close!

I love everything about this lightweight low-priced shell (bought a red one).... except it doesn't have an internal or sleeve pocket for your RFID lift pass. That is an essential feature I've gotten used to with most other brands and expect it to be there

Absolutely love this jacket! I was a little worried about the quality considering its a 2 L Gore Tex Jacket for under $300, but everything checks out. The fit is spot on and the look is on point!

Great jacket. My problem with jackets are that they are always too tight in the armpits, but not this one. Roomy without being too baggy. Great pockets. Perfect coat.

I've been riding in Volcom's L Gore jacket and pants for two years now and I'm absolutely loving them. The jacket fits really well and has never let me down. I've spent many full days being covered in snow from head to toe and I've never had issues with water soaking through. I normally wear XL in shirts and jackets so that's what I went with here too. At this price point, I really couldn't go wrong getting it 20% off.. There are so many features that make this jacket totally worth it. The fit is also very generous and allows for plenty of layering on those colder days, but is also still slim enough to wear casually around town away from the mountains. The only things that concerned me were that there weren't any thumb hole wrist gaiters like on the dakine wyeast which I really liked. And that the zip tech only matches up perfectly with the same size pants. So I got an XL Volcom Articulated pant to go along with this jacket; however, I got this jacket in a Large. When using the ziptech, there was about an inch left of the zipper on the pants so beware of that. PS: Love the Burnt Red color of this jacket.
