With its lightweight but sturdy construction, a sleek shape, and a futuristic independent flex design, the SP-01 Kit Carbonio Superflow Saddle is a result of ongoing product research into more effective saddle designs by Selle Italia, one of the industry leaders in high-performance cycling saddles. By introducing an innovative rear frame that allows independent flex of the left and right sides of the saddle, the SP-01 Kit Carbonio Superflow more effectively supports the alternating motions of your hips while pedaling, improving overall comfort without compromising stability when it's time to put power down to the pedals. And by pairing this technology with a large center cutout that relieves perineal pressure, the saddle further improves comfort by helping reduce the numbness or pain that can result from prolonged pressure to this soft tissue region over the course of a longer ride.

The SP-01 series of saddles are constructed from a variety of different materials at different price points, and the SP-01 Kit Carbonio Superflow sits near the top of the lineup right below the featherweight Tekno version. Though it weighs roughly 25g more than the top-of-the-line SP-01 Tekno, it's rated for both on and off-road use whereas the Tekno is recommended for road use only and has a rider weight limit. By using CarboKeramic rails and a shell comprised of a carbon fiber/nylon blend, Selle Italia is still able to achieve an impressive weight, but without any durability concerns or a rider weight limit. The SP-01 Kit Carbonio Superflow comes in two sizes to fit most rider's sit bone widths, and uses Selle Italia's signature Fibra-Tek microfiber cover that resists tearing and abrasion for outstanding longevity.

I really hope that this saddle lasts for years because it is the first saddle I have ever had that truly is perfect. So comfortable, perfect shape. Few saddles are 130mm wide which Is perfect for me those few mils narrower are noticeable. For me it really makes pedaling more efficient and powerful. Perfect grip on the saddle too just enough to stay put but also move around when needed. I’m cornering better now too it has a more convexed shape than fizik or ergon which makes it so nice for shifting slightly side to side while cornering. the flex is really really nice and adds to a more mastered feel over the bike. And unlike other saddle that do allow for play this saddle does not “rock” lifting the opposite edge up while compressing the other side. The leaf spring compresses as you pedal down and doesn’t rock the other side up. If that makes sense. The only draw back is that it seems these saddles are prone to breaking. Only draw back... pretty big deal. But the breaks seam to happen within the warranty time frame so I’m hoping they improve the designs hinge point by the time I warranty the saddle. Hopefully won’t Come to that as a lot of people have had no problems as well... I’m reviewing the ti version but am posting in the carbon version too as it behaves similarly I do believe most of the defective saddles have been the carbon version so I will let everyone know if anything breaks on this one.

I'm a 60 year old, 145 lb rider and this saddle couldn't take it. The nose seperated from the rails, so every time I sat back on the saddle the nose would pop up. Tried their warranty dept. with no luck. Denied because I bought it new on Ebay. There are 1300 Selle Italia saddles new on Ebay so they supply them but don't honor a warranty. I'll never buy another from their company again. $399 list, ridiculous!!!

Wow, this is a truly beautiful seat. The detail and crafting are superior and I loved the carbon rails. The rails eliminate any noise and reduce vibration and the seat was very light. All of this said, the seat was uncomfortable for me. I don't like tons of padding, but this was really firm and not to my liking. So, I would recommend the seat, but it will have to be specific to your anatomy to be comfortable.

Reading the description of the saddle, it seemed like a neat saddle.......when I took it out of the box, I thought, this is going to be really uncomfortable......and I almost had my new Fizik 00 saddle put on my new Pinarello F10 Disk......but put this on.....my first ride last week was 40 miles.....very comfortable??......then Sat I did a 200K Brevet, not once did I stand up out of the saddle because my butt hurt......126 miles on a new saddle and didn't feel a thing when I was done! I am absolutely blown away by the comfort and the quality of this saddle!
