Traveling can be stressful enough, you don't need the added worry of whether or not your bike will arrive unscathed. A scratched or cracked frame, missing parts, inattentive baggage handlers, and the general pain of dragging a bike box through an airport can all lead to anxiety and take the fun out of traveling. Thankfully, the Bike Travel Bag from Evoc solves most of these traveling snafus starting with its unique construction. Evoc carefully studied the levels of protection offered by hard cases versus soft cases, and unless heavy objects were loaded atop the case, not typically encountered in airline travel, the decision to use a soft case means move maneuverability, lighter weight, and easier storing.

To pack the Evoc case, you simply remove the wheels, loosen the stem, and turn the handlebars. Padded straps hold the frame and fork in place, and separate wheel pockets, integrated into the case, hold the wheels. The Bike Travel Bag also features a variety of handles at intelligent locations to make hefting and moving the bag easier, and the inline skate wheels let you roll the case while you're running through the airport to your gate in a rush to make your flight. The Evoc Bike Travel Case will hold 29-inch mountain bikes, TT and tri bikes, road bikes, and cyclocross bikes with ease. Evoc recommends using its Road Bike Adapter, sold separately if packing a skinny-tire bike.

Constant traveling and this bag makes it so easy. Packs fast, secure and even makes me worry just a bit less about TSA going true.... “routine”.

I have owned this now for 4 years and it really gets the job done. I have taken my bike to Europe three times with this and it has worked perfectly each time. I am tall and my bike measures out to about a size 64, and this fits it no problem. The design is great and protects the fragile bits without being too bulky. I would recommend this product.

Just used this bag for the second time and felt compelled to write a review. I'm really happy with it and it protects the bike well. I've used this for my 29" trail bike on the plane. The 29" wheel set fits in this bag no problem. Packing up the bike becomes quick and easy after first use. The bag goes from storage mode (empty with external wrap that makes it about the size of a travel golf bag) to transport mode (removable fiberglass supports installed in sleeves) very quickly. You can have the bike torn down and in the bag in about 15 minutes with quick disconnect hub wheels. The wheels and pedals get completely removed while the handle bars are dismounted from the stem but cables and levers remain in place. There are multiple strap/buckle configurations inside the bag for different frame sizes. Mountain bikers shouldn't have any hesitation using a bag like this. The beating the baggage handlers might give to your rig while flying is nothing compared to what it sees on the trail. The bag has reinforced wear areas and built in padding. Special considerations: have something to hold the chain without the rear wheel in place; caliper spacers for the brakes are a good idea; some airlines have special baggage fees (e.g. Hawaiian charges $100 each way); needs an Uber XL to the airport; make sure you have tools with you and a bleed kit; It's a lot easier than you think to have your own bike with you on vacation. This bag protects in during transit and is easy to pack. Prepare for at least 2 to 3 people asking you what's in the bag, each way. Clever responses are a must

The wheels fell off the bag on the first flight. Evoc was more than happy to send me replacement wheels and hardware to fix the problem. It was easy to use. It only took me 15 minutes to pack my first time. On the way back it only took 7 minutes to pack. It did its job.
