The Danner Men's Mountain 600 Hiking Boot carries Danner's legendary quality with premium protection from the elements and aggressive traction on the trail. This low-profile hiking boot is versatile enough for both around-town wear and grueling treks across challenging terrain. The secret to its street-to-trail versatility lies in a smooth-wearing suede upper paired with a Danner Dry waterproof membrane, making for a seamless blend of style and weather protection.

It's built on a relatively low-profile DPDX last, which retains sure-footed stability without adding much bulk. The TPU heel last bolsters stability across the rear of the boot, preventing it from folding in on itself during steep descents. It also boasts the responsive cushioning of a Vibram SPE midsole and unrelenting grip of a Vibram Fuga sole, so you can confidently conquer miles on rocky trails, muddy forests, and snow-covered streets.

Bought these last summer and wore them on every trek through the cascades in Washington. Most comfortable boots I’ve owned with no break in period for me. The only problem was the rubber piece on the front of the boot separated from the leather but I was able to reseal it with shoe goo. Other than that, have held up on the gnarliest of talus/glacier/skree/mud you name it and they still have some use left for a while.

The M600's with Danner Dry were super impressive, they kept my toe-sis warm and dry plus I didn't notice any debris enter the top of the boot over 48 hours of constant usage around the dessert. I ran into another guy on the trail with them who said they were a bit warm, I have the thickest of blood and didn't notice any excess heat in thin hiking socks. (it was 65 and sunny) While hiking down canyons with over 55 degrees of slope I kept thinking to myself, I wonder what people expect for tread on these babies before buying? They never ceased to impress and my confidence only spiked on my jaunt through Zion. Meanwhile, my friends were saying how they felt they were just staring at the ground, I had never been more engaged in my surroundings because of the tread. Good all around boots that I wear on a daily basis, glad I bought a size up.

Bought these for hiking and exploring a ranch I work at. Awesome boot so far, fairly waterproof and light weight.

Mega lite durable boots, and the look cool and classic. They fit a little big so i went for a half size down. Great for the outdoors and light enough to work in all day.

I've hiked extensively in the Rocky Mountains with these and they've more than met the challenge. The waterproofing is excellent as I've waded into streams with these with no issues and they're pretty sturdy despite being fairly lightweight. The quality is excellent as there's little distinguishable wear-and-tear on my boots.

I bought these boots back in early 2018 and have done a few hikes in them and the rubber is starting to dislodge from boot at the toe. I heard this from others and it seems that mine are doing the same thing after probably 45 miles or more of hiking. The boot is really light and is a great boot for short to moderate hikes. The waterproofing is pretty good as well. I would say they don’t offer much protection in boulder fields very to trail runners. The grip is really good I have done some class 3 and other scrambling in them and they held just fine.

Super lightweight compared to my other boots. My first pair of danners solely for short day hikes. So far I like the traction on it and how light it feels at the end of a long hike. Many more miles to come. Great quality

I rarely find a product that I like so much that I buy a second pair. I highly recommend these boots, they're rugged, comfortable, waterproof, and they look pretty classic.

I've been wearing these almost everyday to work for the past month and a half and each day I don't think twice about if they'll be comfortable when I go to put them on in the morning. I work in an R&D Lab that has me constantly on my feet all day so I wanted to get someting comfortable but more professional than tennis shoes, and these boots answered that to a "T". I find that I go for these instead of my tennis shoes when I'm going out and about because I just enjoy wearing them that much. The only real downside to them is their non-breathablity, but honestly you don't realize until you take them off and notice your socks are damp. I've found that wearing merino wool socks deffintely help to keep the puppies dry better than cotten socks. I'm looking forward to taking them on the trails and already looking forward to my next pair!

I've had my Danner 600's for over a year and wear them daily. I originally bought them because I am a facility manager at a large warehouse and am on my feet on a concrete floor most of the day. A big part of my job is also in an office environment so they had to look "dressy" enough (which most hiking boots dont). I was blown away immediately by the fit and comfort of these boots. I loved them so much I bought a second pair to replace my hiking boots. and i wont be looking back. The design is pretty form fitting and does not carry the bulk of many boots, and the tread design and material is perfect for rock scrambling in the northeast. One aspect that also blew me away was how waterproof they are. I have full confidence in any wet conditions and ive never had any problems with water GETTING IN. My ONLY complaint, and its more of a trade off, is they are not breathable at all. Long hot days have me finding my feet as prunes when I take them off at night. The danner material isnt gore tex and cant be expected to breathe as such. With that said, every other aspect of these boots is perfect and well worth every penny.

These are the most comfortable hiking boots that I have ever worn. I always wear Danner shoes and this style fits so well and gives a lot of support with lots of cushioning!

THE BOOTS ARE COMFORTABLE AND SEEM TO ADD ENERGY TO MY STEP. FEET ARE DRY WITH APPROPRIATE SOCK SOLUTION THESE BOOTS ARE MY EVERYDAY FOOTWEAR. MY ONLY LAMENTS ARE THAT THE EXTRA LACES AREN'T RED BUT BROWN. I PREFER THE MORE TRADITIONAL BROWN LEATHER/RED LACES LOOK AND WISH THAT YOU HAD EXTRA LACES FOR SALE. ALSO THE BOOT CANNOT BE RESOLED.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my Fiance and this is what he said, "I love the classic mountaineer boot look and the updated Vibram sole. I have done some light hiking in these so far and have not had an issue with slipping or my feet getting tired from standing on them all day. Another awesome feature that is really hard to find is the suede upper that is waterproof. I wasn’t convinced on how the leather would hold up to water so I tried pouring a bit of water and sure enough it did not absorb into the upper and did not leave any water marks. I plan on taking these boots with me for our honeymoon in the Swiss Alps this summer and I know they are going to last!"

The Danner Mountain 600 boot has everything; with a comfortable feel, supportive footbed, and a durable sole. I wear these boots around town, hiking, and backpacking. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a nice looking and quality pair of boots.

Ive had these shoes for about a year. Very comfy. They are a great shoe for the summer and fall. I normally wear a size 12 but these run a little big for some reason. You may want to try it on before you buy it. But with thicker winter socks it fits great.

I have a hard time buying hiking boots. Either they're too clunky for the amount of support (feel like sparring armor) or they're just built poorly, all glued together with too much mesh and materials that wont hold up when you rub them against rocks and gravel for a couple thousand miles. These danners, happily, are different. They're simply constructed and tough. I expect them to keep my feet happy for thousands of miles like my previous pair.

I've had these for an entire year now and I have to say, they are everything I had hoped for when they initially came out. I've backpacked well over thirty times in them and have hiked endless miles over the past year in them, all four seasons. They retain heat well with wool socks, they are comfortable as any solid pair of sneakers I've ever owned (Vibram soles are a miracle). The waterproof material is amazing and works perfectly with the boot liner (You can walk through decent sized streams without getting your feet wet). I have to say that in the next year or two, I'll either get another pair in a different color, or perhaps the same color. Well done Danner.
