The mountains might be across town, so you have to wake up early to beat the traffic as well as the heat, but once you're there it's totally worth it. Designed for the summer temperatures and the terrain of the Pacific Northwest, the Men's Danner Mountain 600 EnduroWeave Boot gives you stable comfort and performance in a variety of conditions. The textile uppers let your feet breath when the air is warm and humid, but also offer durable protection on rugged trails. Pair this lightweight upper with mesh lining for enhanced wicking ventilation, and you'll find it easy to extend your hike an extra few miles.

Vibram plays a starring role in the EnduroWeave from the self-adapting lugs that grip wet and dry surfaces with equal ease to the midsole where it adds durability to the cushioning EVA. The DPDX last offers a low profile that's adept at blending into urban environments, so you can take it to town after your hike for a well-deserved buffalo chicken wrap and triple-hopped ale.

This is a great everyday hiking boot. You can either beat it up on trails or even wear it in a casual work environment and both will get the job done. I work in an office environment where I will wear these boots with 511 tactical khaki pants and they still look great in a professional setting. I’ve owned several boots in the past that have held up well but the thing I love about these the most is they breathe so much better. I need a lightweight boot that can hold up in various environments and I need them to breathe as well. This boot does it all. They are grippy enough to not slip but not super tough soles where they’re uncomfortable. I was a little weary getting these because of the other reviews saying they run too large but I didn’t have a problem. I would suggest just ordering whatever size you typically wear and then you know if you even need to exchange them at all. I wouldn’t suggest sizing down but everyone is different! I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a lightweight breathable boot.

I already have these shoes and have beat them up hard, and they show no signs of dying yet. I bought another pair just on the off chance they stop selling this model and i'm left to live life without them forever. Such a life would be tragic! Anyway, runs a bit large and is very comfortable, durable, easy to wear all day without feeling the pain. Trust me, you want these.

I have these in brown (which I don't think Backcountry sells at this time), but if you're here reading this, you probably want to know about the feel, so I'm writing this to describe that part. I wear a size 9 in Nike running shoes, and I have a size 9 boot. I bought a 9 based on Danner's sizing info, and because I have the original leather Mountain 600 in a size 9. Those are my favorite boots I've ever worn, and these are, so far, pretty close behind. I haven't been on any long hikes with these yet, but I think they're really comfortable for the 6 hours I have worn them today. Unlike their leather bothers, these will require some break-in time, as the enduroweave material is surprisingly stiff. It really does feel durable, as the name would imply, but it's going to need to soften up for these to be perfect. I don't love the tongue of the boot (the top has some stiff rubber on it), but it's not a big enough thing to ruin the boot for me. I guess I'll see how these feel after I put some miles on them this weekend. I'm pretty pleased with them so far.

Rather than using their usual leather, these boots employ a special carbon washed textile upper and mesh liner for a more lightweight, breathable fit that makes them ideal for warm weather hiking. It was a lot sturdier than I was expecting and held its shape really well. The Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole were pretty bulky, but had great traction. I typically wear a 10.5, but ended up needing a 10.
