Skip the frills and fuss and opt for warmth and style with the Castelli Fondo Full-Zip Long-Sleeve Jersey when the temps start to dip. Packing in heat, the Fondo Full-Zip wraps you up with the high-loft fleece of Castelli's Warmer fabric to trap in warmth while actively wicking away sweat. It fits close to the skin to optimize moisture transfer when you're pushing through your sprints, and fit comfortably under a vest if the temperatures really start to plummet.

With Castelli's designers skipping obnoxious add ons, they were able to focus on ensuring a clean and clutter free cut with just the features that matter the most. Hightlights are the spacious back pockets for securing tools, gadgets, and snacks on the ride, and an extended tail that offers coverage when you're down in the drops. In front the jersey is equipped with a full-length easy-sliding YKK zipper that can be opened for quick heat dropping during big climbs, or tucked nearly into the Zen neck flap at the collar to prevent rubbing when you tuck your chin down through a sharp breeze.

I just received this & haven't ridden with it but here are some initial impressions on the sizing. I am 5'10" and 140lbs and I ordered a small. The fit is ideal in every dimension except the stomach where it's too baggy. For my lean build, the stomach area bulges out when I'm in bike position. It's hard to say whether an XS would fix this or throw off the arms & length.

Used in temps down to 45 with a base layer and gloves and was completely warm. Size large fits well - able to get a layer under no problem; for me this was a comfort fit rather than a "racing" fit. Pockets fit a vest, phone, some food with good access.

I ride year round and need a lot of "in-between" clothing. This thermal jersey fits the bill. Fits well, warm, and stylish as well.

The Dark Steel Blue/Orange jersey that I ordered is a dark gray. It looks more navy blue on the CC website. And there is no orange accent in the Castelli script across the chest. I'm sending it back as I needed a blue & orange jersey. I agree with the other reviewer who said the fit is looser than typical Castelli but not quite enough to downsize. I always go XXL in Castelli jerseys and this one is more of a slim fit than the race fit I prefer. The sleeve length is perfect for me but I have longer arms than average.

Jersey is comfortable and warm enough to use alone in temps down to around 40 F.

Given the price and style, I assumed the fit was Castelli's regular, not the slim fit as advertised. Even so, I have to agree with others, it is a bit of an odd duck. In particular, the sleeve length is excessive and there's an unusual amount of material in the lats for any Castelli jersey. Also, when was the last time you a saw a Castelli jersey with the zipper pull on the right side? How about never. Hmmm. Other than the fit, it looks nice and is surprisingly warm for the weight.

This new version is far superior than the old polyester-next-to-the-skin version. Super comfy, obviously functional. Castelli nailed it, so I bought 2 more! I've ridden in the low to mid-30s wind chills (w/ a jacket) and this thing does the trick. Good for riding w/ no jacket up to 50s. True to size, a smidgeon larger than Castelli's historical Euro sizing (but not enough to downsize). I'm 5'8"/175 lbs, 2XL fits snug across chest/shoulders, slightly loose around the stomach (35" waist).

Fits looser than most other Castelli jerseys, I mostly take XXL in Castelli but XL fits perfect with this jersey. Deep pockets, light weight for Fall or Spring weather. I find it's good in mid 50's temp and with a base layer in the higher 40's to lower 50's

I always wear XL in Castelli. I’m 5’10” 175 pounds. This fit like a sale. Loose at chest and a balloon area mid area. Had to return it. Seemed like nice jersey otherwise.

Stylish and well made. Surprisingly true to size, not the normal Euro too small sizing. Extremely warm, blocks the wind well. My new favorite jersey.

I’m normally an XL in Castelli up top. I’m 5’10 175 lbs and fit is good in the chest area but lots of dead space on the stomach area - too much. Nice jersey otherwise.

I purchased this jersey for fall weather. It was perfect with a heat gear base layer, an absorption layer and the Fondo jersey on top. On a 50+ mile ride, with constant wind and temps in the 50's I was comfortable and just the right amount of warm. This jersey looks great (Castelli leads the pack in design), feels great and functions flawlessly. If you're worried about sizing, take your measurements and match them to the sizing tables. Your Castelli jersey will fit perfectly. Don't assume.

Warm and comfortable. I'm built more like a football player than a cyclist but the XXL fit great. Arms slightly tight but better tight than baggy where it flops around in the wind. Rode when it was in the 40's and once in the low 50's. Worked well in both conditions. I just used different types of base layers for the different temperatures.

Castelli sizing is all over the place. I would have given this 5 stars but the sizing is off... I am returning for a size smaller. I order two sizes bigger in Castelli but this item is much closer to a Large than not.
