Living this close to the mountains, we know a thing or two about storm-skiing in below-freezing temperatures. That's why we designed the Girdwood Gore-Tex Insulated Jacket for both shelter and warmth. Backed by the powerful waterproof protection of Gore-Tex, and lined with soft quilting, this full-featured piece is eager to keep us dry in waist-deep pow and warm when icy winds blow. And special ventilation at the front helps us balance things out if we're working hard. Two center zips let us seal her up tight during a storm day, or we can leave the ventilation visible to help us cool off after the sun pops out.

I love the two tone colors, they are beautiful! It has so many pockets, its perfect for holding my extra mask, sanitizer, and all my usual stuff! It does run a bit small compared to most womens ski/snowboard jackets, but that is one of the things that I like about it. It actually fits me instead of being so baggy. If you want that bagginess, I would size up.

Literally love this jacket. From time to time, it really does get cold enough here in Utah for me to need an insulated jacket to wear on the slopes and this fits the bill. I tend to run a bit warmer (my girl friends "hate" me for this because I'm not one to get on a lift cold) so even though it's only 60g in the torso, it's incredibly warm for me with just a base layer and bibs under it. But this makes it perfect for tooting around town or dog walks in our 20 degree temps. The French Roast color is absolutely beautiful in person, and I suppose you could say it "changes" colors in direct sunlight or shade. I would say that this is a touch small in the torso and sleeve cuffs, but nothing that cannot be dealt with.

This jacket is beautiful — great color (Ensign Blue) & high quality. As others have said, it runs small. I’m 5’6”, 138 lbs and generally prefer my stuff fairly fitted—usually I wear a small, but based on reviews I ordered a medium. It fit pretty well, but seemed quite a bit bigger on the bottom than in the shoulders. But the biggest problem is that the sleeve openings are very snug and aren’t adjustable. If you don’t wear gauntlet style gloves, this jacket won’t work for you. I couldn’t get the sleeves over my pretty compact mitten cuffs. Close, but no cigar!

The perfect insulated jacket for snowy days at your favorite resort. The Gore-Tex shell will keep you dry and moves with you on every turn. No more crunchy Gore-Tex that sounds like a plastic bag! 60g of Primaloft and quilted interior will keep you warm and cozy even on the coldest days. I must say the first thing I noticed when I put this jacket on was all the pockets! It has 2 zippered hand pockets, 2 inside mesh drop in pockets, 1 on the cuff of the sleeve, 1 zippered chest pocket, and 2 zippered chest pocket. Perfect for storing anything from granola bars, headphones, cellphone, Chapstick, sunscreen, and a seltzer for the chair ride up. ;)

Hi, this is Emily and I work on the Backcountry brand product development team. I am writing this review today to help guide your sizing decision on this new product. My measurements are: 5'4" Tall Size 4, or on the larger size of S in bottoms The larger side of S for tops bust 34 B. If you are looking for an insulated ski/boarding jacket look no further! This features packed jacket will keep you warm, and organized with all the pockets. Sizing is a little snug for an athletic appearance. I wear a M in this jacket and it fits me well, giving me enough room at the hips for a full range of motion. Size up for more busy women!
