This jacket is really great, but I just couldn't get over the large fit on me- especially for the price. Had it not been for the fit, it would have been the perfect shell. The sizing throughout the body and sleeves were perfect, including across the shoulders with the Cerium LT as a mid-layer. For those who are tall, I think it would be perfect, but at my 5'4 height and short torso, it was far too long. The sleeves were also long, which wasn't a deal killer (far better than too short!), but noted. For reference, I'm 5'4, 115lbs, 34 chest, and had tried the small size. I also wear a small in the Atom LT and Cerium LT jackets. A few things I loved: -Pockets are large, felt that it had the right amount, and in the right places. -Inside is softly lined, making it more comfortable. -Color (awestruck) is the right amount of brightness without looking like a traffic cone.

I ordered a Large for more room, and because I have broad shoulders. This fit tight in my shoulders and upper chest, then ballooned out in the weirdest spot in the middle of my chest. So the fit is neither "too big" nor "too small" - it is both, in different places. It is big in the abdomen section but tight in the upper chest. If you're an athletic woman with built back & shoulders I don't see how the cut of this coat works. If you have a beer belly or are pregnant maybe it would. If I tried a Medium I imagine the shoulders would be even more restrictive. For reference, I wear size Large in my Flylow and Patagonia jackets and they fit perfectly.

I spent all of December 2019 at snowbird in this Sentinel AR Jacket. Temperatures ranged from 50 degrees to hovering around a cool 5 degrees and this sentinel performed well throughout! I skied in the Elixir color and all the lifties complemented me on my jacket.

This shell is slightly thicker than what I usually wear for skiing, but I have found that it works great even for high output boot packing and touring! The shell is very durable without being at all restrictive of movement. My favorite feature on this jacket is the high neckline and hood. Its hard to find a ski shell that fits comfortably over my helmet without choking me. This is perfect! Not to mention, it comes in really fun colors!

I got the Sentinel AR in Elixir as a gift and love it! Its flattering fit is true to size with ample room to layer. It has a really nice flannel backer and is soft both inside and out. This shell is great for the resort, touring, or any high output winter activity that demands breathable weather protection. If you have any questions about this or any other Arc'teryx product, my contact info is above and I'm glad to help.

I really wanted to love this jacket. It was the perfect color, had great pockets and other features, and the description sounded as though it would exactly fit my needs. I wanted a good sturdy jacket that I could layer over my puffy synthetic, or wear independently. Alas, when I tried it on, despite saying it would fit well over a puffy, it was way too tight at the waist, but too roomy in the shoulders. The range of arm motion was limited by the waist tightness. The hips were fine. It would be OK for a person shaped like an hourglass...but that's not me, so I have to return it. Very sorry....

This was something I picked out for my sister, who had only been snowboarding a handful of times but was looking for something that was non-restrictive and allowed for plenty of movement while she was clipping/unclipping from her bindings. After the first day, she was blown away by how well it protected against the snow and the wind, without any issue with over heating, or being too cold.

I just got this for my mom for Christmas, she tried on many different jackets for resort skiing and finally settled on this one. She loved the fit of it as it's not super baggy but allows for plenty of range of motion. The helmet compatible hood is her favorite feature, it fits over hers and has plenty of space so she can turn her head while she's going big at the Bird. I'd definitely recommend this jacket to any lady resort shredder in need of a jacket to last them the rest of their lives.

I was trying a bunch of other Gore-tex shells but just ended returning them due to the fit! I finally went with my gut and bought this bad boy! It fits perfect! I am so excited to put it to use and I know it is going to last years! I bought the Rhassoul color and I absolutely love it!

So Worth it! Just finally tested it out last weekend - the best and worth the money! My fiance rocks all Arcteryx Ski Gear so I had to jump on board after he raved about it. No Regrets! Baja blue is the best.

I bought this jacket in the Crimson and it is gorgeous in person. The fit is great - its flattering but still has room for a puffy and a couple layers underneath. When fully zipped it goes up high enough to keep my neck warm without a draft when skiing with a helmet, but it's not too restricting where I can't turn my head. It's amazing quality and I can't wait to wear it for years to come!

So I've dreamed about this coat for three years. It was everything I could've wanted. I got the medium since I tried a small on in a local store and barely zipped it up, with layers it would have been too small. I got the baja blue which actually came a little darker than I was expecting. I love the look though. It's definitely to my fingers in the arms, but once I have gloves on I don't think it will matter. It's a great jacket and I'm excited to have an inside pocket for my phone and other items.

The Sentinel Jacket from Arc'teryx is back, and it's better than ever. Durable Gore-Tex Pro construction provides lightweight weatherproofing, while pit zips let you dump heat quickly and efficiently. The relaxed fit is new this year, which means the Sentinel is now a bit more fitted than in years past but still allows for plenty of room to move and layer underneath. If you're looking for the perfect shell to go from the resort to the backcountry with you, this is the one! If you have any questions about Arc'teryx gear, feel free to reach out! I'm their ambassador here in the office, and I'm always happy to chat about anything and everything Arc'teryx.

I wont be buying Arcteryx products again - my husband and I bought 3 products, one pants and two jackets and had problems with all of them. We dont want refunds we just want gear that works. As we live in Mexico City it is really difficult to return stuff. The quality control is poor. My jacket zipper broke when I was pulling it up in a gentle/normal fashion - after two weeks of use. My husbands jacket got a whole in the lining and the buckle that keeps your paints off fell off my sentinel pants. 3/3 very bad experience Over all the gear is poorly designed and doesnt have good quality control now that it is no longer made in Canada and all made in China. Dont bother buying it if you want it to last for more than two weeks.

I thought this was going to be black, but its navy. Other than that I absolutely love it. It had everything I wanted in a shell: powder skirt, arm pocket for a pass, interior pockets for a phone, pit zips, and cuffs that would easily fit over my mittens, and a hood that would easily fit over a helmet. And most importantly look good. This jacket is all of that. It's not too long like may other shells I've been trying on. I'm 5-5, 130 lbs and wearing this over a Flylow Betty down jacket. I purchased the medium and it easily layers, and best of all I don't look like a stuffed sausage. I was very hesitant about the price, but I have a feeling this will last for years.

I LOVE this jacket. It's my go-to jacket for the winter or when I'm not in the mood to deal with rain or wind as it will keep you super dry! I pair this with the Atom Lt for when the temps dip and it keeps me nice and happy when I'm snowboarding.

This Arc'Teryx jacket is exactly what you would expect from them. It is the top tier of quality and features. Water and wind have no chance against it. My girlfriend uses this anywhere from hikes to back country days and is always her go to outer layer. Taped seams, a big hood and pockets are all well designed and easy to use. Cannot go wrong with this jacket for MANY seasons of use.
