When you're wearing the Patagonia Women's Insulate Powder Bowl Jacket there's no day on the mountain that's too cold or too wet. The tough, protective Gore-Tex fabric is water- and wind-proof to keep you dry on storm days and block the wind from permeating into your layers when it's gusting, and is also impressively breathable to prevent you from overheating when you're working hard in deep snow. If the temperature takes a sudden dive, you'll be thankful for the lightweight, lofty synthetic insulation, and if the day starts to heat up the zippered underarm vents allow you to easily dump some of that warm air. With key features like the adjustable hood and powder skirt, a plethora of pockets for all your important odds and ends, a drawcord hem and adjustable cuffs to seal out the snow, and a high collar to protect your neck and chin from frigid wind, you'll stay cozy and dry so you can spend the day hunting for fresh snow instead of thawing out in the lodge.

I'm 5'10 and have some curves and could not find a ski jacket that fit in the arms, shoulders and chest. I purchased a large and it fits perfectly! In other brands, I would have to bump up to an XL and then the waist of the coat would be gigantic just for a fit in the shoulders, chest and arms. Furthermore, it's not bulky and I stay super warm with a couple of thin layers underneath. I love the tall collar and the helmet- compatible hood. The insulation looks super thin but does a good job. I did wear the jacket out in single digit weather with just a t-shirt and you definitely need a couple layers for that weather in this coat. I've been skiing in 20 degree weather with two base layers and have been just fine. Love that it is versatile without having to zip out a second jacket.

I’ve owned many a patagonia, including a much older version of this jacket. The arms are really big in it though for an average woman and it doesn’t have the same sleek cut as it used to.

It's a Patagonia staple, so it's not a bargain...but it's great.

My girlfriend says: The Powder Bowl ski line was exactly what I was looking for in a day to day snowboarding outfit. I purchased the Patagonia Insulated Powder Bowl Pants at the end of last season and was planning on shopping around for jackets but the Powder Bowl Jacket fit seamlessly with the pants and interface well together. Although I was originally searching for a jacket that had a zip out liner that would have been good for touring, I am beyond excited to have this look for my everyday ski wear.

The jacket is a great fit and has a nice sleek design. The insulation built into the jacket, really does warm you well and is especially great for when you go skiing! Totally recommend.

I got this jacket for my sister after going through tons of options, the fit is perfect and the cut is generous but not too bulky. The jacket has a bit of insulation but not too much and allows for proper layering as well as keeps her dry and warm.

The Powder Bowl jacket is my new go-to on any ski day! I throw a better sweater layer under it on colder days, or just rock it with a base layer on a warmer day (plenty of those this season). I love the fit of this jacket, it is a slender fit and is long enough to hit me just below the hip. The construction is solid, the inner pockets and lining is the Patagonia quality you would expect. I get compliments on this coat all the time. It was definitely a good investment.

The jacket is true to fit. I ordered a small and am typically between XS and S (5'6" 100 lbs), so this is perfect with a little room for adding an additional thin puffy for extra cold days. It isn't quite as warm as I had expected, but it does the job on most days. Sometimes the front zipper freezes on very cold days on the mountain. The neck area has some extra room for adding a gator or for tucking in your braid. I wish this jacket had a more enclosed pocket for your cell phone on the inside. The mesh pocket on the inside doesn't work for me if I'm getting snow in the jacket on deep days. Overall, a great buy!

I was told the following: It has a sleek fit so I can wear it on the slopes and around town. I have a long torso, and even the small is long enough for me. It is also really warm. I get cold very easily, and have had to shed layers when wearing it skiing even on brisk days. The Recco reflectors add peace of mind. Worth the price. Highly recommend.

I bought the pants first and decided I had to have the jacket too. The insulation keeps you warm on those cold days and the gortex keeps you dry on the spring days. I'm 5'3" 120 lbs and I ordered a medium. The specs say I should be a small but I like my clothes somewhat baggy and longer so when I tried on the medium it was an easy choice.
