I've used most all wired nuts including offsets over the years, and these are the most useful for sure. The key to their utility is that the main curved orientation (1 convex side, 1 concave) is parallel sided in the horizontal plane. This is generally what I use most (climb on granite, basalt mostly). Then when the nut is turned the long way you have the offset options for wonky cracks. They are light and versatile for larger sized wires. Some sizes I bought here have odd twists in the wire loop but this isn't a hindrance. This page has only 4 of the 6 sizes for sale, but lists specs for all 6. I wish they made a couple of smaller sizes.

Take a rock, cut it in half at an offset Angle along with the weight and voila. They take a little getting used to, as they look a little less stable when place along the contoured sides but these are amazing. They've replaced stoppers and the dmm offsets on my rack perfectly.
