Choosing between the bevy of protein shake options on the market can seriously get in the way of your training time, so opting for Vega's Sport Protein is a good way to simplify one of the most complicated aspects of serious endurance athletics. You've got a 140.6 in 4 months, a 70.3 in two, and an assortment of shorter training races in-between. You don't have time to navigate hyperbolic claims and sort through sugar-filled calorie bombs masquerading as "fuel"; you just need to swim, bike, and run.

Vega is a plant-based nutrition company that adheres to gluten-free, non-GMO, and Vegan standards when concocting its supplements, enabling you to boost your training and support healthy muscle recovery without ingesting a host of questionable ingredients.

Inside a serving of its Sport Protein, you'll find 30g of protein, 6g of BCAA's, 6g of glutamine, as well as Tart Cherry, probiotics, and tumeric, all of which work to speed up recovery time and help with muscle repair after you put yourself through a brutal brick workout or a punishing session on the track. You won't find any added sugar, gluten, or animal products in the powder, so you can mix it up 45-90 minutes post-effort without any guilt, then get ready for your next workout.

I rarely write reviews and very infrequently negative reviews. Given the generally positive comments here, I just want to note that in my opinion the vanilla has a very unpleasant taste and texture. There is a strong aftertaste that is not vanilla, not sweet, and not enjoyable. This product is also thick and difficult to mix. I have used other brands of protein (more often whey isolate) that do not have these issues.

It blends very nicely and is nice tasting. We blend it with half a banana 6 frozen strawberries and a tablespoon of peanut butter powder. I have it as morning meal and half a scoop as a snack in the afternoon.

Very happy with taste and quality. I have been taken vega protein for a good eight months now and I plan on sticking with vega.

This protein tastes pretty good but is very thick. I have a few other types of the Vega protein that provide a little less grams but are much easier to mix quickly. I feel like I need to use the blender every time in order to choke it down.

I the Berry Flavored Protein powder and absolutely love it! I usually think that vegan protein powder has a very chalky taste but this is very good!

I doctor up my smoothies a lot. So, if you're strictly a water and protein powder kind of person then this might not be helpful. My go-to mix is Mocha with almond milk, a banana, pb, chia seeds and espresso. Its filling and has never given me any stomach troubles. I have not noticed the chalky-ness that others have mentioned. Although I do find it to be a little sweet if I dont add all of the goodies.

Just kidding... I don't like the grittiness but the flavor and nutrient value is worth it. Best of all the plant proteins I've tried.

Easy on the stomach and plant based. The texture is a little chalky but chocolate flavor makes it easier to drink.

This tastes great for being a vegan option. I had my doubts. Even with water it has a pleasant taste. Also a big plus is my shaker doesn't stink like it does with other proteins. Might try the vanilla next, chocolate is what i bought. Mixes very well for me in a simple blender bottle.

My husband and I have been using the Vega One supplement for years and only recently started using the protein powder, because I'm sensitive to whey. It's become our favorite protein powder. Pros: Alternative to whey. High quality ingredients. Cons: An acquired taste, I have shared it with a number of friends who couldn't stand the flavor. Personally, we only like the chocolate, the other flavors taste a little sweet to me.

I have tried countless plant based protein powders and Vega Sport Protein has become my favorite. The vanilla taste great, mixes well with water or in a smoothie, and has a smooth, non-gritty, texture. A+.

This is one of if not the best protein that i have had. It makes me feel refreshed after a workout. It has A LOT of amino acids. And the fact that it's all natural makes a great choice. I recommend it.

I use this to get yoked. I like the fact it's all natural vegetarian protein. My only gripe is that it's EXTREMELY fine powder and easy to make a mess, however it's a small price to pay. Tastes great, pack with aminos, couldn't ask for more.

On my second bottle. Works well, helps you recover with lots of essential aminos. Highly recommended!
