These stops work great for securing 2 canoes on top of my truck and they were so valuable to keep the canoes secured while driving through numerous miles of powerful crosswinds.

My Subaru Forester has Thule load bars that are a little wider than the car, on purpose. The load stops fit on the racks, but they do NOT fit right to hold my 40" wide canoe. I may use them to hold something else in-place, like lumber or a ladder maybe. But not for a canoe.
