I bought the Thule Archway Rack for 3 bikes for my hatchback this summer. Within about 3 months the rubber straps that came with it had already torn. It could be partly due to the shape and size of my bike frame. I picked up a couple packs of these extra straps to throw in my trunk. I figure they'll continue to blow out, but for $15 they last long enough its worth it. I've started using bungee cords to help secure the bike to the frame and I do these straps up a little looser. That has helped to let them last longer.
