I've previously worn Simms Ultralight pants. I'm 6'1", 215 and athletic build. Size 33 waist. Waist on the Med fits great - but the legs are skin tight and honestly if I wear them they will probably rip. Laid flat the legs are 2" thinner than my ultralight pants - meaning 4" of material. Significant difference. Good quality, but the cut is only good for people with thin legs.

These Simms guide pants fit so well, the elastic expandable waist band is so comfortable and works like a dream, and they dry in what feels like seconds! The stretch is also such a great feature as it makes these pants fit even better and more versatile for those long wet wading days on the water. Lastly they are so lightweight that it feels like you have nothing on, and that's so awesome with something that has built in UPF 50 sun protection. They're definitely a summer fishing must have in my opinion!

Love these pants for wet wading and just lounging. They are durable and dry quickly. Plenty of pockets, plus one especially for you forceps/pliers/knife. My only compliant is that there are no inseam choices. So shorter guys like me who order a XL will need to get them shortened. A short option would be much appreciated.

Gift recipient received these in the middle of winter but is looking forward to putting them through the paces. Here's what he had to say "As with all Simms products, this is a quality pair of pants. Very comfortable and the Simms sizing chart is accurate. the expandable waist will be great when sitting in the rower's seat this summer. Have not been on the water with them yet but am anxious to do so"
