Quick-drying nylon construction

Quick-drying nylon construction

The Patagonia Guidewater II Pant is made of quick-drying nylon material that wicks moisture away from your skin, making it perfect for a long day on the water. You won't have to worry about feeling wet and uncomfortable all day long, and you'll be able to stay focused on catching fish instead of worrying about your gear.
Stretch panels at the seat and knees

Stretch panels at the seat and knees

The Guidewater II Pant features stretch panels at the seat and knees, allowing you to move freely and comfortably while casting, kneeling, or sitting. This added flexibility is particularly useful when trying to navigate challenging river terrain or when casting from a boat.
Mesh draining pockets

Mesh draining pockets

These pants have mesh draining pockets that won't weigh you down when you're wading in deep water. This means that you can carry your gear without having to worry about it becoming waterlogged, and it also helps to prevent chafing or irritation caused by heavy, wet pockets.
Comfortable elastic waistband

Comfortable elastic waistband

The elastic waistband on the Guidewater II Pant is designed to keep the pants securely in place, even when you're battling strong currents or casting in windy conditions. This ensures that you won't have to keep pulling up your pants throughout the day, allowing you to stay focused on the task at hand.

Finally a pair of Pantagonia pants with a relaxed fit. I purchased large and wear 36. Might even be a bit too large, but that makes them a comfortable fit. Great for everyday use. Will be great travel pants too once this virus SIP is done!

These are insanely comfortable fishing pants. They have a bit of stretch to them which is nice, and they breathe really well. UPF 50 to help protect you from those harmful rays when out of the water. I sometimes wear these just as normal pants, too. Or for hiking. I wish they had a rear pocket on the left side, though because that's where I like to put my wallet. Overall, I love these pants.

I've got three pairs for all my fly fishing trips. These lightweight pants are perfect for warm weather fly fishing trips on a flats boat, an offshore charter, or under waders in a river mid-Summer because they have a bit of stretch throughout the fabric (moving around a boat or in the river), an elastic waist, zippered slash pocket on the thigh, and a lightweight breathable fabric that protects your legs from sunburn in the Tropics. Most importantly, these pants are easy to hand wash and dry if you are on an extended trip!

I’ve gone through a lot of fishing pants and these are by far the best overall fit and finish of any I’ve tried. A lot of pants geared towards anglers are billowy and have very wide ankle openings. These have a more tailored but comfortable fit.

This is a fantastic pair of pants. I bought this before a full-day float on the Green River and could not have been happier. This product kept me cool in the sun, dry when the rain came through, and comfortable in the boat. They also work well as a casual pair of pants back on land. I highly recommend these pants.

I bought these for casual wear because I don't like wearing shorts even in the summer. They are super lightweight and my go to casual pants this summer.

Very nice, light pant. Nice detail in the embroidered logo and blue zips (on the gray pant). The "short" fits me perfectly -- 5'6".

Guidewater pants are legit, light like you are wearing nothing but tough enough for when you kneel down to cast on some tricky flat water trout. Quick wicking keeps you dry all day. Recommend for all summer wet wading days. They’re stylish enough to rock off the river too!

Light and well constructed. I decided to return them as they just didn't fit me as I wanted with my 34" waist. The medium would have been great travel pants but were a bit tight in the thigh for activity. The large was comfortable just a bit loose. A belt would have fixed that and would have been fine for hiking, fishing but felt a little messy for running around town in.

I have used it a couple of times for hiking and a couple of other times for a stroll around the city during fall. It's a keeper!

I wear them all the time whether it's around town, hiking, on the boat or under waders, they don't bunch or ride up. Great light-weight pant for all reasons in the spring, summer and fall!

I have been looking for a lightweight, cool (temp) pant primarily for fly fishing, but versatile enough to wear around. This pant fits the bill. I love the Patagonia Guidewater pant for all of these reasons. I have used in the drift boat as well as for wet wading and they look good enough to wear around town for post-fishing activities. The DWR is fantastic and the pants are light enough to avoid overheating in the summer sun. The fit is nice with relaxed cuffs. I typically wear a 33 or 34 in waist with a 32 in inseam and the Medium fits perfectly
