As the name implies, the Simms Men’s G3 Guide Felt Boot is designed for industry pros who spend upwards of 200 days per year on the river, but you don’t have to go out quite that much to appreciate this wading boot. The G3 Guide Felt is built with a RiverTread platform to enhance your proprioception as you wade, making your feet feel less clumsy when you can’t see them. The felt sole provides traction on slippery rocks and slimy banks, so you can smoothly make your way across the river to find the perfect spot. Conscientious anglers should always check local restrictions about felt wading boots, and be mindful of the possibility of transferring invasive species on their boots.

Love these boots. Super light but still provide a lot of support. The tongue moves pretty far forward so it is easy to get in and out of them with waders on, and the laces are small enough so hooks from waders and wading socks clip on easily. The felt is absolutely fantastic if you fish versatile waters and encounter slippery rocks - when I fish with friends who don't have felt, well on a lot of our waters out West they are slipping and sliding all over and I can just navigate right through, which is especially nice in faster water. I am a women's size 10 and wear a 9 in these (I usually wear an 8 in men's shoes but due to the waders you should only size down 1 size). They are also pretty comfortable for hiking in and out - I will usually walk in an hour or more before I start fishing and I don't notice any problems with rubbing or foot fatigue. Wouldn't change a thing about them.

Im not sure why I waited this long to buy these boots. After my last fishing trip to some fairly rugged terrain, my ankles and knees took a couple of weeks to fully recover leaving me feeling OLD... I am 34. I bought these boots and took another 3 day fishing trip into the same location and went all 3 days with out any pain or soreness to my ankles or knees. These boots provided support that I'm was used to getting from hockey skates and yet they were flexible where you need it. With as stiff/supportive as they were out of the box, I was expecting at least a few times out for them to break in, but no joke, from the first step I took they were ready for whatever I'd I could throw at them. These boots made my previous Chota STL, a pretty good boot I thought, feel like I was wearing a pair of flip-flops.

I've tried a lot of different wading boots. These are by far the best. They fit comfortably, provide incredible traction, and have a durable design.
