I bought this adapter for my Superclamp EX 4 rack so I could downsize it to a 2 bike rack with this hitch adapter. I like this unit as it kept the rack very close to the vehicle, was light weight and was able to fit a 1.25" or 2" receiver. The product, in general, was well made, but I thought that it wobbled too much when the rack was pivoted into the position to hold the bikes. It wobbled side to side, not from the interface with the hitch receiver on the car, but from the pivot point where the bike rack attaches to the hitch bar. In this location where the rack can rotate from stowed, to carry bikes mode, to access your hatch mode, there was too much play and the rack wobbled as we drove and it was noticeable going around turns or rough bumps in the road. I tried to tighten the bolt that holds these two pieces together, but it only made the release mechanism harder to operate and didnt remove the wobble. I compared this to my heavy-duty receiver mount from the superclamp 4 and that unit doesnt move one bit and is very sturdy. I ended up returning the unit and purchased the Heavy Duty version of the Supercalmp EX 2 bike hitch adapter and it solved all the wobble issues. It was just as sturdy as the 4 bike hitch mount and tilt mechanism and also came with a hitch pin lock. I hope maybe I just received a bad unit with poor tolerance but glad I upgraded to the heavier duty version of the hitch adapter. If you have a 2" receiver, I would suggest getting the Heavy Duty version of this product. While the bikes were not at jeopardy of damage or loss, and this didn't wobble as much as other brands, I wasnt willling to sacrifice the stability I paid so much money for in the Saris products.
