Works with the Behemoth reel so you can always have an extra sink/float line ready to go. This reel has the best drag in it's class and feels like a much more expensive reel. My only complaint is that it's cast-molded, meaning it's not quite as durable as a machined aluminum reel, and probably won't hold up as long.

I have the behemoth in 10 and 12, and haven't had any issues. At this price it's easy to buy a few spools for different fish and different tactics. I have the 12 running a musky line, and a spool for saltwater (rooster, jack crevalle), and the 10 for saltwater (stripers, snook, tarpon)

This is a superb saltwater fly fishing reel. I've used it to chase tarpon and false albacore and put this reel to the test on multiple big screaming runs with 150 to 250 feet of line out at a time. The most amazing thing about this reel is its price. This reel outcompetes reels 5 to 10 times its cost. That alone makes this one of the most interesting and in my opinion one of the best reels on the market. As a forged big game reel, it is technically more susceptible to breakage than its milled bar stock counterparts but the design and value make this worth a place in your big game reel arsenal. And after testing it on big game fish, I am sold on the Redington Behemoth as one of my go to reels for my next big game salt water fly fishing trip. No issues with the drag, great drag adjustment options, and with gel spun backing this is going to hold more than enough line to chase the biggest pelagic species. The guide I fished with used these exclusively and prompted me to order one as soon as I got home. Can't wait to use it myself on my next trip.
