Sometimes getting to the best crag means you'll have to cross a creek or two, and the Prana Women's Halle Convertible Pants are ready to move through those ankle-deep creeks with ease. Their zip-off legs detach just below the knee, so you won't have to deal with wet cuffs all day, and their durable stretch fabric is quick to dry, so it won't be the end of the world if that creek you thought was ankle-deep turns out to be more like knee-deep.

very nice pants, good detail, good pockets especially the smartphone size on the leg. I am 5'10 with a 34" inseam, ordered the 10 tall and they are plenty long even over my hiking boots. They are not waterproof, but dry quickly and work well in cold weather with leggings underneath, at least down to the single digits so far. The zip off leg bottoms I will have to wait to try next summer, but I like the placement below the knee.

I love these pants and wear them continuously in the cooler months. The fit is awesome as I'm taller and the mid-rise works great for me. Prana also offers different inseam lengths, which is nice to have this choice. The reason I didn't rate them 5 stars is because the material at the front of the top leg area began to pill after just a short time of use. I didn't rub the pants against anything sharp or rough so this pilling affect is due to the material used and since these pants are not cheap by any means, it was a surprise to see this happen. If it weren't for this flaw, I would have purchased additional pairs of this same pant. They are extremely versatile and comfortable, not to mention warm when needed.

Ordered a size zero but found the fit to be huge. Size zero fits me well on other Prana pants I have. Also the convertible aspect seems pointless (at least for a short person), the zipper came very low on my leg. These basic converted to Capris on me rather than shorts.

I love these for rock climbing, they are thick enough that I can scratch them up without worrying about getting holes in them. The convertible length is great to cover up knees. I love that they come in a short version. I was a bit worried about the low rise, I do wish it was an inch higher and I make sure to wear long shirts to tuck in when climbing.

Got these for hiking/work outside and they work super well. Great stretch, and great fit. As with all Prana stuff, they run big, but so long as you buy your prana size they'll fit great.

I have worn prana halle pants and shorts for awhile now. I love fabric. I have them in 5 colors. I wear hiking, to climbing gym, around and to work. Love love them so much. I didn’t realize I got the convertible ones though. They zip off instead of button/roll up. Not sure if I like that - having to keep track of the bottoms may be an issue. May not. Still great pants. Wish they had burgundy. Only gave 4/5 stars d/t zip vs snap bottoms.

I have had a pair of these for years and love them! They have been on countless 10 day backpacking and hiking trips as my only pant. They are really the pant I always turn to for backpacking. They are a little big so they hit the ground at my heel and has caused slight fraying but for the amount of use, they look amazing! I love these pants so when my mom needed a pair of hiking pants, I bought her a pair of Halles for Christmas. She has worn them for daily pants and says they are comfy but hasn’t taken them on any hikes yet, still too snowy! They do run large. She normally wears an 8 but I bought her a 6 and they are plenty big.

I have two pairs of these pants now and I am still as obsessed as I was when I first ordered them last year. Here's a photo of these pants during a 4 day backpacking trip through the Uinta Wilderness Forest last month! I wore only these pants for all 4 days, and you can barely tell that I hiked and scrambled ridges in these things. Check out my more detailed review below!

I inherited these from my sister-in-law and was first a little skeptical of the zip-off feature, but I'm happy to say that I actually really like them overall! The fabric is super light and nice to hike in. I've worn them in the winter with a light insulation layer underneath and in the summer hiking in alpine and desert conditions in Utah. I have never felt overly hot in them and they've always provide enough flexibility of movement for hiking and (on very rare occasions) running (when I want to get back the trail head a wee bit faster. I also love that the material is incredibly quick drying. I took them into the Narrows at Zion for a casual hike and took a swim in the water. It was freezing and had the pants not dried off super fast, I would have been *very* cold the rest of the day! So, praise be the fabric is light and dries quickly! In terms of the convertible nature of the pants, I actually like the zip off. They are, of course, inherently kind of dorky, but they are also very convenient. I like that you can roll up the legs for a capri length or zip them off for shorts. The only thing is that I feel like I wear shorts more than pants, and the zipper on the shorts does make it harder to roll up into shorter shorts when you want less length. other than though, they're super nice. And the reason they didn't get five stars is that the waist is a little odd. I have a pretty curvy figure so finding pants that fit in the waist and butt has always been a struggle, but these pants didn't provide the best fit that I wanted. It's okay. The drawstring helps keep them up, but makes it a little uncomfortable sometimes. other than that, these pants are great. If you want just shorts, you can check out their shorts option. And if you're not wanting the convertible ones, they make a Halle pant. Either way, definitely go with PrAna. You can't go wrong, really. Picture of me wearing the pants on the summit of Kings Peak in Utah.

These are by far my favorite pants ever! I wanted a pair of pants for hiking as well as hanging out at night when we camp, etc. I purchased these pants in 2 sizes because I wasn’t sure which would fit, but they do run true to size. The fabric is very light weight but also durable. I wish I could wear them every day!

I bought these as a gift for a friend and she loves them! She has done a bunch of backpacking and hiking in these pants and she has been very impressed with how durable they are and she loves the zip-off legs feature. Her sizing info is 5'8

Bought these for my lovely bride and they are very cute, a great cut and fabric and we like the zip-off capri style. However, the pockets front and back are small and too small in fact to hold a standard 5" cell phone at all. Front pockets are shallow and I'd worry about coins or keys coming out. The "hidden" pocket is great but also small, just barely large enough for a passport and it distinctly shows through the fabric as the pocket is on the front not the side. We sent these back because for practical travel pants the pockets were too small, but wish we could have kept them because of their great look and fabric.

I'm tall (5'9") & was excited to order the "Tall" length - but it was *way* too long. I'll get them tailored. Rarely using them anyway since the shorter version is perfect for most SoCal weather. Fabric is soft. Cut is VERY flattering for the curvy bod. They stretch throughout the day so you might want to cinch the interior tie a bit tighter as the day goes on. Love these pants!

I love the feel of these pants. They don't feel like jeans, but much better than sweats or yoga pants. The material is sturdy and I love the color.

These pants are great because of how versatile they are. I've worn them for normal day to day activities, travelling, in addition to more physically demanding events (hiking, camping, etc.) They are also comfortable and have a little stretch to them! I also like that the zip line is below the knee, instead of above like some other convertible pants I own.

PrAna hit the nail on the head with these pants - whether its climbing, hiking, yoga, or a casual day, the Halle convertible does it all. The material does two things that are crucial: 1) it traps heat, and 2) it is water resistant. The Zion blend really kills it in the warmth department, while still keeping it breathable if you're doing something active. The convertible feature is awesome if you're someone who, like me, is either always cold or suffers from random hot flashes. You can roll the pants up to the knee to get the exposed zipper out of the way for a neater shorts look, and the removed bottom legs are easy to pack. This feature is the most convenient for long approaches to the crag or campsite during the day, and when the sun goes down the detachable legs are simple and easy to put back on for warmth and mosquito coverage. Another great feature is the relaxed fit and stretch of the Zion material -- it allows for a lot of movement if you're doing something active, and fits almost like a sweatpant. The only thing I wasn't stoked on was the adjustable drawstring. It's a smart feature, but I don't think it's executed very well. If you tie it too tight, the waist button sticks out harshly and leaves a gap between the pant and your waist. Otherwise, one of the best pants ever.

These pants are great! I have taken them traveling, hiking, backpacking, spilled water/beer on them and they still look brand new. After all of that I’ve only washed them once. They move well, offer a wide range of movement, and look sharp. They do run large, I typically wear a size 10 and a size 8 in these pants fit me really well.

I am petite so normally a size 0 should work but I was swimming in these.
