I ordered these tights for walking my dog on cold mornings, but after I walk her I can't seem to take them off, since they are just so dang comfortable! I have been wearing them pretty much every morning...and then I do yoga in them...and then eventually I put on stretchy jeans for a few hours. I have yet to wash them, yet miraculously they don't stink! The pockets are fabulous, I don't keep my phone that close to my body for extended periods of time (you shouldn't either;-) but for a moment when I need my hands free, they are perfect! I am used to high-waisted, booty lifting Lululemon tights, so at first glance I didn't feel like these tights were very flattering, but my partner strongly disagrees...and I keep grabbing them instead of the Lulus so that says a lot. 5'4" 110lbs and XS fits great, hits at the ankle, doesn't feel too tights or slide down. LOVE THEM!

The Pack Out Pants are my absolute favorite pants. They have the perfect fit, snug but not compression tight. The waistband is wide and comfy. The seams are flattering. The pockets are supremely functional. I a pair in each color. I buy them for gifts and people love them. I tell all my girlfriends about them, and they buy them, too. It will be a sad day when Patagonia changes the design or sells out.

Based on the reviews, I thought I was in for a long love affair with these Patagonia tights. I bought in grey and plum in my usual size medium and they were as comfortable as advertised, but about 2" too long and ill-fitting in all the wrong places (around the knees, under glutes). I might have been able to wear a small, but given the price I just took my first shot as a sign that it was not meant to be. Good news to those of you who like to order multiples of items - both pair fit exactly the same and were of the same good quality. Called customer service with question about return process and Ryan was v. helpful, courteous, etc. Thanks to Backcountry for making it easy to be a loyal/return customer.

I have a blue and a purple pair of these tights and would definitely not hesitate to add another pair. These are so versatile. Good quality, thick but breathable and can take a beating. I have a labrador retriever who jumps and nips occasionally and he's caused a bunch of damage to my other clothes, but these tights you can't even tell. My favorite feature of these tights are the side pockets where I can stick my iphone and keys and it doesn't look or feel weird. Also, came out of the wash and dry cycle with no issues.

Tried both a medium and large in these. The waist seems oddly loose and does not have an elastic. Mediums fit comfortably but are too low waisted with nothing to keep them in place. Larges have a better rise but felt too loose overall. Fabric and design is otherwise great and feels very comfortable but I’m sending them back.

I’m generally between Med and Large bottoms. I just tried both the Pack Out and the Peak Mission tights by Patagonia. The Pack Out tights were too small and felt very low waisted with no drawstring to ensure that they stay put. I would be wary of them sliding down and constant tugging. The Peak Mission were perfect as a Medium, higher-waisted, and more stretchy. Kept those and exchanging the Pack Out for a large! The fabric on these is thick and comfortable, but overall the cut feels way to small. Although I haven’t worn them out, they seem like they would actually be warmer than the Peak Mission. I’m 5’4” and 168 lb.

Just received these yesterday, put them on this morning, and wow! Perfect! So very soft and comfortable. Not restrictive in any way. I have to agree that the calf area is a bit loose - but not so much so that it looks bad. Love the pockets - love everything about these pants. I think I need at least one more color!

Just bought my second pair in a different color, love ‘em that much! However, the sizing seems different, smaller. Returned them.

I wanted a thicker legging to use in the winter months for cross country skiing, running, and hiking. Checked out Lululemon first, then came here after throwing up at the prices. These leggings are PERFECT and a way better value than other similar pants I've seen! Pockets are large enough for me to hold a cell phone and poop bags in one and a dog leash in the other. I also love the small zippered pocket for my keys. The fit is great (true to size, despite what some reviewers said) and the fabric is really nice and soft on the inside. I have used them in 20° to 50° weather and they are great for that range. I find myself wearing them more than I care to admit and will probably be stocking up on them because it would be hard to find another pant that rivals this one if they ever discontinue it!

We are hiking the PCT this year, and I wanted a pair of tights that are comfortable, wouldn’t chafe, warm, and no camel toe. I’m always leery about buying clothes online because you can’t see/feel the fabric nor tell what the sizing is (size charts are often times horribly inaccurate). I did some research. Read a lot of reviews. I bit the bullet and bought these. SOOOOO glad I did. They are really soft inside. Much warmer than standard tights. Have a great shape to them. The side pockets are the bomb. I can carry my phone and my husbands easily. I ordered them in December and in the three weeks I’ve had them, I’ve worn them 4-5 days each week. We hike daily 5-15 miles. The pack out tights have never let me down. I’ve hiked in cold, rain, heat. I’ve never been uncomfortable. My husband wishes they made these for men. Highly recommend these tights.

I recently ordered these for the lady in my life, here is her review: Patagonia Pack-Out Tights - 5-stars - Found my new favorite leggings! Very comfortable leggings with soft & stretchy fabric that is also quite warm. The fit is true to size (small fits me very well), I don't have any issue with the ankle area being loose as other reviews have mentioned. Love the side pockets that can actually fit phones, snacks, keys, etc.

I wear these running, they are pretty warm and I like all the pockets. If I had to order again I might of sized down. They are just almost too big. My only issue is I wish they had a drawstring, but they stay up well enough without it. They are pretty thick and overall are toasty for running in the cold. They feel very well made.

Surprisingly, I had to size down to a small when I'm typically a medium in all Patagonia bottoms. Material is heavy weight and will be great for cooler weather, great fit, stay in place, pockets are well sized for a phone on the thigh. Ankles were also loose on the Medium but fit a little more snug on the small.

Good for activity or lounging. My only small beef is that the ankles are loose. But, that wouldn't stop me from buying them again.

Bought these for a trip to Colorado, specifically to hike ice lakes trail. The temperature ranged from the 30s to 70s and these leggings were perfect for it all. I was comfortable the entire time. These leggings survived a a few slides down rocky slopes and a lot of rubbing on branches with no snags. I would definitely recommend these...and they have pockets!!

I love leggings that have pockets built into them. These leggings are on the thicker side so they will be great for cold weather hikes.

I have worn these tights for running, hiking, skiing, and casual wear. They are perfect for any activity! The high waist makes for a comfortable fit that won't ride down while you are running. Flattering and comfy, the best combo!
