Don't be deterred by threatening skies when you're itching to get out on the road for some serious miles in the saddle. Instead, zip up the Pearl Izumi Elite Pursuit Hybrid Jacket.

Its ELITE Barrier fabric protects the front of your body and arms from wind and light rain as gray skies roll in, while the back of the jacket's Softshell Lite fabric offers breathability without leaving you exposed to the elements. A Vislon two-way zipper allows you to add extra ventilation when you need it, or seal in body heat as the temps head south. The elastic hem and cuffs protect you from drafts, and the waist even has a silicone gripper to keep it in place throughout your ride. The tailored fit eliminates bunching and chafing, and prevents the hem from flapping on fast descents. Plus, it's small enough to pack into your jersey pocket.

Super light weight. Blocks the wind and light rain (or snow). Doesn’t cause any overheating unless things really get warm. Packs down and fits nicely in a jersey pocket, when needed. Perfect for longer rides with changing conditions, or when you aren’t sure exactly what the elements will dish out.

nice jacket but for the athletic type.... it fits snug....I'm not athletic so I look like a sausage and had to return it.... and there is no pocket.... but if you are looking for a small snug jacket that you can easily fit in a pocket this might be the jacket for you

Seemed a nice jacket at a good price, a little snug but okay fit. But no pockets anywhere? inside outside, back, no pockets, no practical, probably never wear the thing :(

This jacket is exactly what I wanted. It folds up nicely into a pocket, but provides extra that extra layer of warmth. I like the fit and the look of it as well. Would be nice if it had little more ventilation, but otherwise no complaints.

I love Pearl Izumi, I had a vest from them for many years which finally gave up the ghost last winter. I replaced it with this jacket and have not been disappointed. They do run a little small, I often wear a medium, but had to order large for this one (my vest was an xl that fit just a little big). The jacket packs up small, keeps the rain off, and the warmth in...who could ask for more!

I am a mountain biker, was looking for a light jacket on sale. Their sizing must be for short-statured roadies or something, because the XL I bought fits more like a Medium. I'm doubtful that even an XXL would fit. I will be returning the jacket.

I carry this jacket with me anytime I'm riding in conditions that are a little cool and variable - essentially the entire late winter / early spring and fall. It packs small to be easily carried in a jersey pocket. I really like the way the front of the jacket feels wind/rain proof, even though the other panels are a little more breathable. It's not absolutely, 100% waterproof, so it won't do much good in a total downpour, but in all other conditions, it's fantastic. Also, the material is fairly thin, so this really isn't a jacket for cold, winter conditions. I've abused it quite a bit, but it's providing the durability I've come to expect from PI products.
