You're strictly business Monday through Friday, answering important work emails with the tenacity of a drill sergeant. Once the weekend comes, though, you're kicking back on the beach with the laid-back, summery spirit of the Patagonia Women's Stretch Planing 8in Board Short. The 8-inch inseam falls mid-thigh for a laid-back feel while you're lounging beachside with a tropical drink.
Recycled polyester fabric is both lightweight and stretchy, making this board short versatile enough for daily wear in summertime. The DWR finish quickly sheds moisture once you leave the water, so you're not dripping all over your car on the way home. There's also a secure-zip pocket for securing cash and keys when you're playing in the surf and swimming.

These shorts are super light and fast drying! They fit perfectly at the hips but slightly large at the waist.

I’m trying to support Patagonia more these days because of their unwavering commitment to sustainability. But regardless of that I’m happy with these shorts. I personally like to cover my legs and would have preferred an 11” inseam over the 8 but it’s not the fashion these days. I’m glad I went for these anyways and find them to be quite comfy. I’m just about always a size 6 or 28 in bottoms. I have another pair of Patagonia board shorts in a 6 and they’re quite fitted. This time I bought the 8 so they’d be a bit more roomy and they’re a nice fit without being too baggy.

Maybe these shorts are just not for me. I bought my typical size 8 and they fit my hips pretty good, maybe a touch big, but the legs are like flowy pj pants. The material also seems very clingy which I’m not a fan of. These are going back.

Simply, I bought these for my wife before a February beach trip to Roatan, Honduras, and she pretty much wore them for 11 days. She ordered another pair when we got home. Enough said. Runs a little small perhaps.
