Jacket is great except it runs super small in arm length and shoulder width. I even went up to a Large but its still too small to wear a sweatshirt under. I took off the tags not thinking before I tried it on so now I cant return or exchange. Super bummed. Ive never even warn it once.

After reading reviews I regretted ordering this coat but I got it and love it! Perfect fit. I’m xs in most clothes but S in Patagonia, pretty consistently. This fits perfectly. There is enough room for a sweater, or a long down vest as a liner. Also love the 2 way zipper! Plenty of pockets but I wish the outer pockets were deeper. Perfect length and cute design with the different stitching. 100% recommend! Light balsamic is pretty!

Love this parka! I was unsure about the sizing from reading the reviews and I am admittedly between sizes usually. 4'11", 128 pounds. Ordered size Small and it is unfortunately too tight in the shoulder/chest area. Still zips up but I feel like a sardine. Will return and order the medium because otherwise it is an excellent jacket! The pockets and inside of the jacket have a soft brushed lining, adding extra warmth. And in the jacket's defense, I did want a "slim" fit parka to be more flattering for ski trip than the average down puffer. Would recommend this but sizing may take some trial and error if you are not tall and slim. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised at sleeve length being a petite person, they were not too long.

I love how warm and light weight this jacket is. Definitely recommend going up a size, my usual size is XS in everything and after reading reviews I went with a small and Im gad I did. Fits perfectly with a sweater underneath, arms would be way too tight in the XS.

This such a cute jacket to run around town in on those winter days but listen to these reviews and size up 1 size, especially if you feel like you have big shoulders. At the end of last winter, I had purchased this jacket in a large and it was a little snug but I thought I could make it work. Quarantine was not kind to my weight and it feels tighter in shoulders and arms so i really cannot wear much underneath it. I really wanted a purple parka last year but that color wasn’t an option so with the 30% off and it being available in purple this year, I ordered an XL. It fits so much better in the arms and shoulders. It is a little big around my body but I would rather be able to layer thick sweaters if I wanted and still have range of motion! I don’t feel like the Michelin man in this jacket, and it is a little on the light side so probably wouldn’t be great for long durations outside in bad winter weather.

This was exactly what I was expecting, which never seems to happen me with coats. All winter coats I've ordered in the last couple of years seem to be sized with the assumption that I'll wear several bulky layers under them. NOPE! I don't like bulky clothes and wanted a winter coat that would fit neatly over a sweater or shirt. I was very pleased to find that this coat is sized accurately! The sleeves are maybe a teeny bit snug but still comfortable. I ordered the purple hyssop color and love it.

Love this jacket and love the balsamic color! Lightweight but still very warm and insulated. I bought the XS and S after reading reviews, and was unsure about sizing/“running small” reviews. I ended up keeping my normal size of XS (I’m 5’ and 100lbs). Fits perfectly! Would highly recommend.

Ok, just bought this jacket. I normally wear a size small in most clothing items but bought a medium due to the reviews. It was really big on me, all over- chest, arms, hips. I have a smallish frame (32D bust) but am fairly tall. The jacket is really cute so I'm exchanging for a small. Just letting you know that you might want to think twice before automatically upsizing due to the reviews below.

Definitely not for wearing anything warm under this coat. Sleeves are tight and hip area is huge on me

this jacket is so small that it almost seemed like it must have been labeled incorrectly. It was very cute, but i would have ordered a size or two up. and that is with only a thin shirt under, not a sweater or hoodie.

I have to say, not proud of it, but I’ve put on some weight over the winter. After wearing a medium before, I wear and XL because I’m a 36D. I bought this XL and it won’t even NEARLY close. This shows Patagonia makes things for stick figures and their XL claim is false. Not okay. I need to return it.

I ordered a Small size following reviews, but it was large for my petite frame. I am 5' 115lbs and will reorder a XS

I ended up returning this and will likely size up and get the jacket version instead of the Parka. I usually wear a S in the Down Sweater, and can wear it comfortably over a sweater and layers. I ordered the M and it was super tight across the shoulders and surprisingly long compared to the photos. I have a long torso so this surprised me. I do have large shoulders, but I expected the medium to fit. I will be sizing up to a large. Otherwise, the jacket was cute and nice material. Shinier than the photo.

I almost always wear a medium.. so I unfortunately didn't read the review prior to purchasing and ordered the medium. I could tell as soon as I unboxed it that it would be too small. Very slim fitting and tight on the shoulders and hips. Thinking maybe this is why the jacket is so cheap compared to any other Patagonia product. Seems to be a huge sizing issue, I would recommend sizing up one or even two sizes if you like to layer. I loved the coat and wanted to keep it but sounds like sizing up doesn't really fix the odd sizing of the coat.

I purchased this for my spouse and she thinks this jacket would be perfect if it only had a hood. Patagonia is on the higher end of the outdoor gear market and this coat is perfect for the cold. wet weather we experience in the PNW but a hood is a must!

This was a really nice jacket, the color was cute but it was just too tight on my hips in the medium and too wide on my shoulders in the large. I did not keep this jacket but it could look cute on someone else.

I LOVED the color of this parka and the style, and I wanted it to work in the worst way; however, the fit is off. I take a medium in everything, but had to buy a large in this as a medium was too small and tight all over. The large fit in the shoulders, but the sleeves were too long (halfway down my hand) and the body of the parka was too big and bulky. Unfortunately, I had to return it. I'm hoping Patagonia tweaks it a bit as I would love to purchase it again next year. I love Patagonia and have one of their light jackets that fits perfectly. I thought this parka would be the same, but sadly it wasn't.
