We consider the Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket a Jane of All Trades. This versatile style is ideal for ice climbing, mid-winter skiing, or in town. It's also equipped with lightweight, compressible independently certified Traceable Down, which means the feathers come from geese that are never force-fed or live-plucked. Horizontal quilting prevents the down from shuffling around, meaning you stay warmer, longer.

This has been my go to winter coat ever since I bought it a year ago! It is really warm for how lightweight it is. I found that it fits a bit snugger then some of my other Patagonia items. I a™m normally an XL but I ordered up and got one size bigger so I could fit more layers underneath when it gets really cold out. Definitely worth the cost.

The 800 down makes this jacket the perfect staple in your kit when the days get cold. Pair with a shell for maximum protection. This jacket has been everywhere with me and is holding up just fine - it's so durable! I love how long the sleeves are.

I bought this in black for my wife and she loves it. This is her go to jacket. She is about 5"7 115lb and medium fits her great.

I keep this handy all year long. I wear it skiing all winter under my hardshell and in the spring and fall while outside. Some summer evening warrant a little extra, and I get my "go-to." My husband has one too. It packs up very small--into its on pocket! I've had this for many years--I got it the year they first came out with the down sweater. The zipper went last year and Patagonia replaced it, charging only $5. I love Patagonia's corporate policy on reusables and when I finally replace this one, I'll send it to them to recycle. Our daughter has one too.

This is my friend's favorite jacket for the bay area weather! Super super lightweight but very warm. She love the grey color too, it goes with everything. My friend says that she will get the same one for her mother and sisters too!

I really like this jacket for general warmth and style. I wouldn't say I "put it through the wringer" though. I would define the usage more like, "I wear it a few times per week when I walk my dog to Starbucks and out to tailgate football games." There is absolutely zero camping, hiking, kayaking, etc. on my resume. I digress. This was my second Patagonia jacket and the second jacket that has zipper issues. One of the zippers on the outside pocket no longer works and the inside pocket zipper constantly gets caught in the material. I still wear it since unlike my other one which had the main zipper break, it technically works. $500 later, I'm not 100% sold on Patagonia.

I love this jacket! It's where lightweight meets warmth! I did find it to run a bit large, so exchanged for a smaller size. Otherwise, five stars!

I bought the Patagonia down sweater at the end of the winter on a whim, and I love it so much. It is perfect for doing things around town on the warmer late winter days in Minnesota, and it has been awesome outside for those cold spring days. It is the perfect gap coat for temperatures when it is too warm for a winter coat but too cold for a light layer. I love how light it is, and it's super packable too. I can't say enough about how much I love it!

I have had friends raving about this jacket for years, but was unwilling to take the plunge and purchase one for myself. I delayed for no reason as this jacket is perfect. Light weight enough for the Spring and Fall temperatures, but heavy enough that one could use with layers for those cooler winter days. This jacket is well designed, well manufactured, and backed by the Patagonia guarantee. Unfortunately I fall between sizes (Small vs Medium) and ended up sizing up. It is a little roomy for me, but should work well over time with layer. In hindsight I should have stuck with the Small.

I got this for my mom for Mother’s Day and she loves it. It is like a sweater in that you can wear it indoors to stay extra cozy, and she did! But it’s so much more than that. Perfect to throw on in any spring/fall conditions other than rain without having to worry about layering. It also makes a great winter coat if you have a layer underneath.

Gave as a gift. Here is what she had to say: "This is one of the best jackets that you can get at this price. It is so versatile, and I find that I am wearing it all the time!"

I love this jacket. Fantastic color. I'm 5'6" and 125lbs. I bought a Medium so that I could fit sweaters underneath for those really chilly days. I probably could have gone with a small, but the roominess of the medium is great. So pleased.
