The Stampede Play Jacket by NRS is designed for avid river runners who need to stay dry while taking on waves and play spots along the whole river. With a technical construction that includes a breathable microfiber shell, this jacket allows perspiration to pass through while you surf and play, and also provides frictionless paddling to give you durable long-lasting wear. Four-layer Eclipse waterproof material is coated with a DWR finish to ensure water sheds right off the surface, and a nylon inner-skirt that's compatible to your spray-skirt and self-draining latex wrist gaskets protects splashes from going up your sleeves and in your cockpit. The wide nylon waistband closes with double hook-and-loop straps, allowing you to find a comfortable fit for a full day on the water and sitting in your craft. A top-of-the-line neck gasket is made with non-constricting neoprene GlideSkin to give you comfort that will last all day while still keeping water at bay so you can enjoy your time on the river from launch to dock.

Did a bunch of rolls and even swam twice but stayed quite dry none the less. I wear a 2-3mm full wet suit underneath for extra warmth to handle the swims and give my skin a bit of protection but this jacket is really comfortable and added a good deal of warmth to my paddle on a fall day (American River in Cali so not thaaat cold). Pretty easy to get on and off, good mobility and didn't notice it at all while paddling.

This is one of my favorite pieces of gear. This is perf ct for warm days to keep you dry when you don't mind getting a bit wet like on hot days in cold water. The cut is low profile so it doesn't bunch up under my life jacket. The neoprene gasket around the neck is super comfortable and less restrictive than a Drytop latex gasket, It still has the latex gaskets around the wrists to keep water from shooting up your arm. The double tunnel works perfectly with my sprayskirts to keep my boat dry. This is a great piece of gear to add to you kayaking gear bag.
