You aren't sure which is worse: shivering up a shady multi-pitch all day or sweating and greasing off your project at a sunny crag. Whatever condition you're climbing in, the Mammut Men's Ophir 3 Slide Harness is fully adjustable to accommodate both crag shorts and alpine pants alike. Just like all the Ophirs, this version features Split Webbing technology, which separates the harness's weight-bearing webbing into two strands that ride over and under your hips in order to reduce weight, increase ventilation, and decrease the necessity of padding. The tie-in protector adds durable longevity, and the fabric turns a different color after the tie-in points have worn down past the point of responsible, safe use.

I am just getting back into climbing and with this harness, it has helped with that transition. I love how light it feels while I am wearing it. It doesn't feel like there is a lot of padding but the way it is designed when you are falling or being lowered you don't feel it ripping into you. Love that on the leg loop it has a plastic piece to prevent the rope from wearing down that part of the harness. Mammut did a great job building a solid harness!

So I've never had a comfortable experience wearing harnesses and am not a climber by any means. But the way the Ophir 3 fit around my waist and the comfort when actually used on the wall made for a great experience for a novice like me.

This harness is suuuuuper comfortable around the waist and legs, although it bunched me up in the nether regions a few times. Despite the gear loops being rigid, they lay pretty flat. Overall it's a decent harness that feels really sturdy while being comfortable.

As a new climber, I did plenty of research in search of a good harness. This one seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Really comfortable. Easily adjustable and fits me perfect. Has plenty of features as you begin to progress from toproping to lead climbing.

This is my first harness and I love it. I did a lot of research and also ordered the Black Diamond Momentum to try on. The Mammut Ophir 3 slide just felt like it fit better for me. It is very comfortable to be in and I forget I have it on. The buckles all adjust easily and stay put while using the harness. I use the harness indoors and it is great for that. I don't load the gear loops up with much but they work well for me. Highly recommend for someone looking to get there first harness!

I got into climbing about a month ago and have been borrowing a friend's harness for a while now. This is the first harness I purchased for myself and I love it!

I bought this for a friend of mine that is legitimately 7 feet tall. He needed all the adjustment points to fit him. He says that it is very comfortable and that he would recommend this product.
