There are some climbs out there with more theories for beta than actual redpoints, and most routes in competitions require theoretical beta for every competitor. For climbs like these, there's the La Sportiva Women's Theory Climbing Shoe. It's one of La Sportiva's most sensitive climbing shoes designed specifically for modern competition climbing and futuristic maneuvers. Unique to La Sportiva, No-Edge technology forgoes the use of more rubber to create edges in order to put your toe closer to microscopic footholds. This enhances overall sensitivity that could be crucial to theorizing your beta into an actual send.

I've bouldered in these for a few indoor sessions and a few outdoor sessions and I'm really liking them! I usually wear womens' skwamas and the sizing on these was pretty similar. They're soft, sensitive and very downturned and perform great on steep boulder problems. Heel hooking and toe hooking both feel great in these - I prefer this heel to the skwama heel. I haven't totally figured out what the no edge side does though - it hasn't been a disadvantage but I'm not sure it's been a big advantage either. For size reference, I'm usually an 8 in street shoes, with very narrow/low-volume feet. I wear a 36.5 in skwamas and I have these in a 36.5 as well.

I bought them to replace my old testarossas and they have definitely done a great job exceeding my expectation. Very sensitive and soft which I always love. I got size 38.5 (street shoes 40) and broke them in within 3-4 sessions. Now they fit me like my old shoes. Heel caps fit my small heels with good support. Haven't felt a significant difference with the side nonedge technology tho.

These are the most sensitive shoes I've had from Sportiva and they are so effective for precision footwork on micro foot holds and smearing. I feel so much more secure on insecure footholds because of the sensitivity! They run small, so size up! They are also just a bit wider than the Solution Comp and fit my wide feet better. They are still just a bit narrower than the Skwama.
