I go up into the mountains to challenge myself with new and creative objectives climbing, and ski touring. When I know I could bonk miles from the nearest trailhead or hundreds of feet away from the summit I bring some of these capsules with me to ensure I don't cramp up in my arms if climbing or legs if skiing. It's a lightweight insurance policy in my back pocket! I'm about 5'11" and 180lb and usually 4-6 capsules per 12hr day does the trick for me.
