The 100 calories of complex carbohydrates found in all 24 pouches of the Energy Gel 24 Pack are only part of the reason why Gu is such a ubiquitous sight in the peloton and on recreational rides. Gu's Energy Gel also packs amino acids, antioxidants, and muscle buffers to help begin the recovery process even while you're refueling mid-event. A splash of caffeine helps kick your engine into fat-burning mode, and the packets are easy to tear and eat — no chewing, no two-handed fumbling, and no risk of choking on solid food during hard efforts at an unrelenting pace.

Look at the description copy, look at the packaging pictures. All flavors do not have the same caffeine.

I am an avid cyclist and use these energy gels on 25-30 mile rides. They are easy to digest and taste great! Product does what it advertises. If you don't like the flavor simply buy a different one.

Gu is one of my favorite gels. The consistency is not as thick as Clif gels and a little thicker than Honey Stinger. A great in between and lots of great flavor choices to keep it interesting.

When I need a boost during a ride, the Salted Caramel GU delivers! Faster to "take" while riding than chews and easier on the stomach for me.

Perfect amount of salt and caffeine to keep you going for hours. I usually have one every 45 to an hour on my long runs. GU is definitely the best quality as far as gels go!

I've been a fan of Gu gels for many years now and they do not disappoint. This was my first time trying the Caramel Macchiato flavor and although it's not exactly what I expected and not my favorite, I did enjoy it. It's a nice break from some of the fruity sweet flavors I usually get. Perfect amount of calories for a little burst of energy for short efforts or between bars on longer rides.

These have been a great addition to my long runs. I can definitely tell the difference when I use one of these before the run, than a run without one. I have an extra boost of energy and my endurance levels last longer. I highly recommend these.

You have to admit, this fuel works. Especially for rolling hills and mountain climbing, patch one of those every 45 mins boost your energy. Doesn't matter caffeine or decaf, it just works.

I'm not a huge fan of gels in general. The taste is ok with the best ones being Espresso and Mandarin Orange, IMO. What I will say about Gu is they seem to work for me. They provide the benefits that I need on long rides and are easy to eat while on the bike. I've found better benefits to other Gels that I have tried.

I'm generally not a big fan of gels, I usually prefer chews. I picked up the salted carmel flavor after seeing all the good reviews and they are actually pretty good, much better than gels i remember from past experiences and good enough to continue using. I like the smaller size on these, it's easier to carry more of them on longer runs. I typically have one every 45 minutes on long runs and it helps keep me going without giving me any stomach issues.

I've been cycling for many years and one of the first ride specific foods I had was the chocolate outrage Gu flavor. It tastes like brownie mix, seems to do me perfectly near the end of long rides, and has been around forever (so you don't need to worry about becoming attached to the flavor only to have them discontinue it).

These are life savers! I got the chocolate peanut butter ones and they are pretty thick and a little hard to get down at first but the taste is really good. They are awesome for those heavy work out days when you really need a quick boost! I always start to crash after the first hour of working out but I started taking these GU's and it really gives me the boost I need to go 2 more hours!

These are great to pack for long approaches and worked well on my 5 day Salkantay Trek. None of the packs broke open. The chocolate outrage flavor tastes just like brownie batter.

Not the biggest fan of energy gels but when your're tackling a long brick workout you've got to replace what you loose and GU makes it pretty easy to do so. They come in so many different flavors so you're bound to find one that works. My favorites are salted caramel, cucumber mint and peanut butter.

So many flavors...so little time. My biggest problem is deciding which kind to buy. Unlike some of their competitors, I won't name, I don't find myself with packs unintentionally ripping open in my pockets or packs. Muy bueno!!!

These are always with me for long run Saturdays or on a day hike. These are the best tasting gels out there. Cucumber mint is my new favorite!!
