I have a narrow foot and love these. Great for edgy techy vert or trad climbing. I sized super down in these and they fit super tight and stretched a little in the leather, sacrificing comfort for aggression. They fit super tight and perform excellently, super impressed on slab!!

I really wanted these to work as my new multi pitch shoes, but sadly they aren’t meant for me. Every size I’ve tried is problematic for my feet, which are wide and have long, bony toes. I’ll try the men’s version I guess. Or save up some money and buy another pair of TC Pros !!

These took a while to break in, they were really hard around my ankles but after a few climbs they were perfect and they fit great :)

I have a fairly flat foot coupled with a low volume arch and a ton of shoes have an ill-fitting heel. I tried the women's Anasazi Velcros on a whim, and I noticed that they work fairly well. They edge and smear well, the heel cup feels amazing for heel hooking, and they are extremely comfy. I used the Anasazi VCS previously, but ditched them after they changed the design of the shoe in 2014 (C4 -> Onyxx rubber, different straps) and they no longer worked well for my feet. Furthermore, they look fly as hell! Debated heavily on the size, since they aren't leather and won't stretch as much, with a friend's advise I went half a size larger than my street shoe. They have worked out really well. I've been climbing in them for a month now and they are working into a perfect fit. Love the shoes stick and aggressive level. I mostly sport climb but and working into bouldering more and the shoes crosses over well.

This is a review of the fit of these shoes, not their performance. I got these for my daughter but no go. First we tried 10.5 but that was too tight all around. Bumping up to 11.0, it fit perfectly, except there is a minor seam in the ankle that helps pull in the heel...that seam jabbed exactly into a nerve in my daughter's ankle. This made it too painful to stand in, let alone climb. It *might* have relaxed after a few pitches, but she couldn't keep the shoe on for more than a few seconds! Luckily thanks to backcountry's great return policy, we'll be sending these back and trying a different brand.

I love these because they're built comfortable, but climb aggressive. The rubber is SUPER sticky and the shoe is very sensitive, so you get a lot of feedback from the rock (which helps me trust bad foot holds!). They're definitely best for slabby walls with tiny to non-existent feet, but they get the job done in all situations. I'll climb with them on steep overhung routes too, but I prefer something a little more aggressive. I've used these extensively in the gym and outdoors. As for sizing, they were a BIT tight when I first got them. They don't stretch that much because of the synthetic leather, but they molded to fit my feet perfectly after a time. I wear a size 6 street shoe, sized down for a performance fit. I think ordering at your true size would be fine though, I don't know if the "performance fit" is really necessary with these.

Overall i really like these shoes Notes 1) comfortable - this is priceless! 2) good for edging and smearing, pretty much solid on everything except for overhangs - i found jamming my toes not as precise in these, vs more turned down shoes (i am not that good, so i need all the help i can get!) 3) would be a great choice for multi pitch days as a comfy all-rounder 4) irrelevant, but really cute color! Sizing: i am a 6-6.5US; 36-36.5 European and i have the Anasazi in a 6.5. I could have sized down to a 6 with some pain... I have a very low volume foot and finding a shoe has been a bit difficult for me. These work great and have a nice narrow heel. I typically wear a 10 street shoe and I went with the size 9 since these stretch a bit. I have been climbing in these for a few months and they have broken in well. They have been a great sport climbing shoe for me.

These were my first climbing shoes and I'm still loving them! I've been climbing in them for 9 months now. I wasn't brave enough in the beginning of my climbing career to buy the correct size so I went a size...and a half up lol. I'm normally a size 6 but I went for the 7.5, but I have no regrets. I could not fight through the pain of building enough callous and pain tolerance during my first few months of climbing. These shoes will stretch a full size so definitely go for your street size. You'll get that slight downturn in the shoe so that you can hang onto the holds better. If you size up too much, you won't get that downturn, but fear not, I can definitely still stand on those plastic micro footholds indoor. But I do have issues doing so outdoors though since my shoes are too big. The shoes fit great for those with narrow heels like me! This is very important for the heel hooks! Btw these shoes smell like death, buy a shoe deodorant spray.

This is my third pair of Anasazis, I love these shoes! These are the perfect all around shoe for any level climber. I do switch out my shoes depending on the style of climbing, but if I had to only bring 1 pair wherever I went I would bring these. I've climbed overhung, slab, crack, multi pitch, and 24 hours straight in these shoes. My favorite part of the shoe is the heel. Heel hooks all day, everyday. If you want your shoes to be snug go with your exact street size. If you're looking for a comfy all day/multi pitch shoe go a half size up.

I'm just getting into climbing and these shoes have changed everything! Super sticky and fit like a glove...making it easier to trust my feet :) I went with my street shoe size and I think it was the right decision.

Super sticky but runs small. I am going to return and size up. I recommend going true to your street shoe size.

I been using these for about 3 months. I tried a few sizes. I'm a size 8.5-9.0, but closer to a 9.0, typically. I settled on, 8.5. I have a low volume foot, with an average width. These have been working well, for me and I feel very confident in their performance. I've been on tiny feet, and they are solid as the rock. I am not a beginner, I just wanted a functional, reliable shoe, that I could wear for longer than 2 minutes, without screaming from the pain. These have been all that. I haven't used them for much heel hooking, but I also didn't intend too. I wanted this for more vertical slab bouldering, or routes. I'll have to update this review later, once I know how long the rubber lasts.

I am obsessed with these shoes! Every other shoe that I've tried on was always too big in the heel but these are perfect. They definitely run small, though. I'm between an 8.5 and 9 street shoe but I like my climbing shoes to fit pretty snug so I had ordered these in a 8.5 hoping they would stretch a bit. If I wear them regularly (2-3x/week) they're still kind of painful but manageable if I don't walk around in them. The product description says that the arch is high, but I have pretty flat feet and they still fit really nicely so don't let that scare you away. I climb mostly vertical and slightly overhanging sport routes and I haven't had an issue with them being too flat.

I brought these in my normal EU size of 40 1/2 but they were very painful so I sized up a full size to EU 42. I find EU sizes to be the most consist when buying shoes. My normal street shoes are 81/2 US or 9 and I needed up with 10 1/2. Bearing in mind I bought these shoes to prevent toe cramming that was starting to deform my toes. I love these shoes in the larger size as they are comfortable for all day outdoor climbing and still fit my narrow foot despite moving a size up. Performance wise I can say that I climbed a lot better in the larger size because I was not in pain. Grippy rubber :)

These shoes will stick to anything. They climb as well as a super agressive shoe but with none of the crushing toe pain. They are comfortable and sticky and I feel like I can climb anything in these. I love them!

This was my first pair of climbing shoes, so they hold a special place in my heart. They treated me well. I, however, was not as kind to them. My many months of slab climbing and toe-dragging caused their poor, innocent rubbers to deteriorate away, resulting in a gapping hole in both toes. The rubber on these shoes is known to go fast. But honestly, as an entry level shoe, by the time that happens it's probably time to up your game to a slightly more aggressive shoe. This shoe is pretty flat - making it SUPER comfortable but not as functional on steeper walls and smaller holds. Would definitely recommend these shoes to any lady wanting to get serious about climbing, but not sure where to start. I found them to run small, so size up!
