Built for the wet weather and rugged terrain of the Pacific Northwest, the Danner Women's Mountain 600 Hiking Boot offers uncompromising grip on wet and dry surfaces and superior cushioning—without the weight. The waterproof suede upper and Danner Dry liner keep the elements at bay, while providing moisture-wicking, breathable comfort.

Its midsole construction ensures the right combination of support, rebound, cushioning, and stability for comfort and confidence when you're out on the trail. Danner also wanted to make sure the Mountain 600 was versatile enough for everyday wear, so they gave it a low-profile DPDX last to make it equally at home urban exploring as it is in the wilderness.

These are my first pair of Danner boots and I love them. They are light-weight, comfortable, super cute on the trails and stylish enough to do your urban errands. As far as sizing, they do not run big. If anything, they are true to size or small. I usually wear an 9.5 or 10. I bought these in 10 so that I could wear thicker socks if I wanted and I am glad I did. I purchased the Brown/Red and the Java/Bossa Nova colors. They also each come with two pair of shoe laces so you can mix up the look. I love that they are waterproof as there is nothing more uncomfortable than wet feet when you are hiking on a cold day. The insoles are easy to remove to dry or replace with an orthotic. If you are going to use a thick orthotic, you may want to size up a half size. I highly recommend these boots.

I bought a 7.5 my regular shoe size. I hesitated as I get 8 in running sneakers. These fit fine enough room in toe box and good support cushion in shoe bed. I got the brown suede and although I have not hiked in them they are hefty enough to go in snow and woodland hiking. Very pleased with this brand bought the inquire chukka style as well like walking on a cloud. Recommend

I read the reviews and most said this boot either ran big or true to size so I ordered my normal size 8.5. Looks like I need a 9 but they can’t return right now cuz of covid so that’s really the only reason for 3 stars. Expensive boot I cant wear and cant even exchange. Really inconvenient to order online with backcountry right now.

The boots themselves are superb! Super light, comfortable, waterproof and stayed dry hiking in snow and wet mud all weekend long, and the grip excellent. I love them. I get extra discount from here: coupon-code.info

I have a very hard time getting boots to fit. I gave these 5 stars even though the arch support is not high enough for me and I still need my custom orthotics. Out of the box, I wore them on a 3.5 road walk at 3.5 mph so hitting them hard on the asphalt. Then, on the same day, tested them on another 3 mile padded forest walk. My picky feet were so happy at the end of the day. I'll report back on how they hold up against our granite trails in the White Mtns of NH. They are very, very comfortable and flexible which will be awesome on our rocky, rooty trails.

I love the aesthetic of these boots!! So cute, and I can't believe they're waterproof. I had to return them though becuase they run a bit big! I got a size 11 and I think I could fit in a size 10 in this brand.

These boots look great and take a trail like champs! The waterproof feature is strong and kept my socks dry in swampy conditions and the tread worked great in steep hilly hiking. I love my hiking boots!

Took a chance and ordered these boots to arrive the day before I left for an 8 day tour of Iceland and they are INCREDIBLE!!!! No break in time necessary; in fact, it felt like I was walking on air 12 hrs/day. They are 100% waterproof. I was able to walk behind waterfalls, throw on crampons for glacier hikes, and trudge through mud with my toes staying toasty warm & dry the entire trip. Since I've been back in NYC, I've been wearing them for 12 hour production days and they are sooooo comfy. Love, love, LOVE these boots!

Got these as a gift for my girlfriend and she is loving them. Super comfortable right away, with hiking boot support and running shoe "feel". The Vibram sole is grippy, and not as stiff and cumbersome as other boots out there. Also the waterproofing has been put to the test with multiple hikes through .5-2 feet of snow and no leaks.

I wore these on my trip to Iceland walking through streams, hiking in mud, and all around wear. I love them they are so comfortable out the box. I did not have to break them in at all. I went with my standard 8.5, I don't wear thick hiking socks, and they fit perfectly.

I don’t have wide feet but these boots didn’t have nearly enough room when I had all my weight on the balls of my feet. Comfortable and lightweight otherwise. I wish they fit!

I purchased these for a few reasons: 1) the tred and grip on these is made by Continental, so you know they're going to grip any surface you put them on. 2) Danner's brand of being durable, supportive, and delivers on quality. 3) they are waterproof. So far I haven't been disappointed. They do require that you lace them just so, otherwise there can be some pinching or rubbing. But take the time to lace them properly and with the right amount of pressure and you'll never want to take them off. They have decent ankle support, more than I expected them to have. The classic look is also a selling point for me. I love the classic hiking boot look. I sized UP to a 7.0 when I almost always wear a 6.5 - I always recommend sizing a half size up in hiking boots. They fit snugger and you have thicker wool socks on (or should have at least).

Sent them back...probably more of an urban walking shoe and not appropriate for hiking or support. I was surprised at the lack of quality in a Danner

These hiking boots are absolutely amazing! I went on one short hike with them, then did a weekend backpacking trip through Southern Utah and they didn't need any breaking in. Super comfortable, sturdy, durable, and provide excellent support and stability. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Christmas present for my wife. The first time she wore them she hiked 10 miles - no blisters and comfortable the whole time! She loves the way they fit and look. Highly recommend.

These boots were worth me sending them back and forth three times for different sizes/colors. I read that they ran big, so I sized down. Wore them on a hiking trip and they gave me blisters on my pinky toes and had some toe jamming going on in the toe box. Of course, Backcountry is always so nice about returning/exchanging items so I ended up just getting my regular size, 7.5. If you have wider feet like me, it's probably best to stick to your true size otherwise they will fit snug. Two hiking trips in and we're good to go. I get lots of compliments on them and I can wear them while walking the dogs or going to the park.

I’d been eyeing these boots for over a year and when I finally saw them on sale I went for it. 100% satisfied with the appearance, fit, quality, comfort, and versatility. I would pay full price for these now that I’ve owned a pair. Took little to no breaking in. They look cute paired with skinny jeans and a flannel running errands, or with hiking pants getting after it in the backcountry. I usually wear a 7, sometimes 6.5, went with a 7 on these and they fit great.
