Thunderstorms in the forecast? No worries—just put on the Columbia Men's Watertight II Jacket and you'll be right as rain. The Omni-Tech two-layer nylon shell is fully seam sealed, so not only does it keep moisture out, but its air-permeable design allows unwanted perspiration to escape. When the wind picks up, just pull on the adjustable storm hood with abrasion-resistant chin guard to keep the elements at bay. And no worries about getting the right fit—this jacket comes with an adjustable drawcord hem, so you're good to go. You can also use the zippered hand pockets to keep you hands warm, or to pack your jacket inside, once the clouds part and the sun pops back out.

I have about a dozen of these rain jackets, in different colors and sizes (L and XL). For $40 this coat can’t be beat. I hiked awhile ago for 5 hours in a steady rain and the coat kept me dry. The mesh lining makes all the difference as far as comfort (no clammy feeling). The hood fits just right and the zipper goes right up under your chin. The coat runs true to size so pick one size larger IF you plan on wearing a jacket beneath.

It does the job keeps you dry. Not insulated it’s just a good basic rain jacket. Fits slightly bigger . I guess so you can put it over layers if you need to. I purchased a Large.

Like most Columbia jackets it runs large so I always size down. The jacket is fitted but leaves plenty of room for layering. The waterproofing is great for the price point. After some tough use this jacket will require maintenance and you will need to apply spray on repellant. I would consider this the best budget rain jacket I've purchased. This jacket is very light weight and breathes fairly well for a rain jacket.

So far, I love this jacket. I purchased a medium and it fits as expected. It allows me to wear an insulating layer underneath without feeling stuffy. If you're looking to layer up for much colder weather I would recommend a size larger than your normal fit. I've walked through at least three rainstorms of varying intensity and have yet to get wet in this jacket. My only complaint is the zipper. It has separated at the bottom stop at least twice; however, it was easily corrected by unzipping and re-zipping the jacket. I would definitely recommend this product.

This jacket is a good fit and has saved me from some heavy raining. Also, it has enough space inside so I can wear a fleece or a hoodie.

I haven't really used it yet, but I have tried it on. I got this as an outer shell for a trip coming up. I was looking for waterproof and affordable, and this hit the nail on the head. It looks good, feels good, and I believe I will be able to use this fishing here in FL as well, although it might be a little hot. The fit is just right...not too loose and not too tight. I'll be able to layer it no problem. Should get a lot of use out of this.

This was a gift but the feedback was great: water resistant lightweight, not bulky and comfortable.

I like this jacket. Fits right, not overly breathable but it’s a tradeoff for the waterproof feature. Overall, exactly as advertised and looks nice.

Purchased this jacket for my son, looks really nice, not sure why you would spend more on another brand. May have to get one for myself.

This is a great jacket. I have been really impressed how well it breathes considering it is a rain jacket. Also, you can tell it has been designed to last -- really good quality. I'm really happy with it so far.

I love this jacket so much! Honestly, it's so comfortable I don't even take it off when I get to the office! It's both functional and stylish and it earns my highest recommendation. Good for around town or day long back country ski tours.

I'm 6' 5" and generally wear 42 size jackets. With that in mind, I purchased the Large yellow version of this jacket. At first the jacket felt a bit too large for my frame, but once added a couple of layers underneath (how I'd actually wear this in the wild), it felt much better. Still a little loose, but I'd rather have that than it being too tight and constricting. Quality of the jacket seems nice. It's lightweight, simple, nothing to complain about. A NOTE ABOUT THE YELLOW - the jacket isn't quite as yellow as the images here depict. IRL it has a bit more orange in it for a tone that's kind of close to mustard. I like it, but if you're looking for a bright canary / banana yellow, this ain't it.

I recently bought this jacket for my son because he won't leave mine alone! This jacket is completely awesome! It fits perfect, breathes very well and is about as water "resistant" as you could possibly hope or expect it to be. The mesh liner really sets this jacket apart. The versatility of this jacket is really understated. I use this jacket for backcountry touring because it works so effectively to manage my temperature while skinning up for some fresh turns. I really highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a light weight, comfortable, breathable yet waterproof outer layer. It even has the feel of a mid '90's throwback ski parka when you have it on. Maybe it's the nostalgia of that image talking but I might buy another one again just in case mine wears out!
