I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. I love this rain jacket. The material is flexible and soft to the touch while maintaining excellent water repellence. Compared to other rain jackets at this price point, this is by far the best option I have found and tried out. Like I said, the material is awesome, and compared to other jackets that are oftentimes rigid and stiff, this Daintree jacket is comfortable and breathes well. The construction of the jacket is also well designed and thought out. There are small details that add to the quality of the jacket such as the felt patch on the inside of the collar where your chin rubs, the plastic welds are tough, and the hood is adjustable and fits great. The overall form, weight, and detail in this jacket is fantastic and definitely feels more like a jacket in a higher price range. The one thing that I found a bit odd is that it doesn’t have a loop in the back of the collar area to hang the jacket up by. Instead, you have to just hang it by the hood, which is not a big deal, but thought it was odd to leave that out of the jacket. Overall, I am very pleased with the jacket and look forward to getting years of use out of it.

Finally seeing some rain in New England this year, very happy to have this jacket. Water beads off seemingly like magic. Construction feels very sturdy and high end. Fit is nice - roomy enough and the sleeves are nice and long. Hood is very roomy but unobtrusive when its down. Gotta say it retains heat nicely too. I agree that an internal pocket would be nice but not a deal breaker - as a rain coat, this thing is great.

Fits great, looks great, and kept my upper body bone dry in the pouring rain. Hood is a good size and doesn't block too much peripheral vision. It could use an internal pocket, but not a dealbreaker for me. I'm 5'11" 160 lbs and size medium fits great. Enough range of motion in the sleeves and body, but not baggy.
