On whiteout powder days it's nice to be protected from the snow, but the snow doesn't always fall. The cold is a much more reliable constant, though, which is why the Burton Covert Insulated Pants will be so appreciated during frigid first-chair mornings. The Thermolite insulation provides toasty, all-conditions warmth without adding bulk, so you won't feel the chill or any extra weight while you're surfing fresh lines on your favorite hidden tree run. And just because they're warm doesn't mean they're not waterproof—their DryRide membrane will keep out moisture from any snow you might kick up on that dreamy pow run, while stretchy boot gaiters ensure that no snow comes billowing up your legs to soak your baselayers. Plus, these pants are equipped with Burton's Living Lining, which works to keep you cooler when you're running hot and warm when ultra-low temps have you feeling the chill a bit.

Great looking pant, but deducting 2 stars because the main buttons on the front of the pants are not snaps! Come on, when its cold and fingers are exposed, you want to fumble with normal buttons? Such a bummer.

Bought these as a gift, here's what he had to say- "look and fit great. Looser fit, with enough room to move around easily while snowboarding. Warm enough to just wear long underwear underneath. Looks great with matching Covert jacket. "
