The Wolverine Cirque 3/4 Insulated Pants are insulated to add warmth on frigid tours and early morning dawn patrols. When the track gets steep or the temperature rises with the sun, top-to-bottom zippers at each side let you remove the knickers without taking off your boots or skis. The knickers have a water-resistant treatment to shed any snowfall when you're in the middle of this transition or when things get powdery.

Most of us who backcountry ski don’t have insulated pants. Here’s the solution. Get some knickers. Super nice to wear in the cold, wore them is -10 F weather, and kept my legs warm. I will say though, the ability to zip them on and off is a bit overrated. Most people would wear them under their shells, taking them off, you still have to pull down your pants and such, plus the zippers near the top can dig into you waist a bit.

Picked these up a few months ago and have been loving them. I've been using the Nano Air pant by Patagonia for the last few years but the never seemed versatile enough to do everything but these have been great for everything. I've used them skiing, ice climbing, and honestly just wearing around the house. The fit is great and they're crazy comfortable. The fit is spot on, slim but not to slim and fits true to size in the waist. Overall I love these things!!

I wear a 3 layer shell pant for skiing and these are the perfect compliment with those. I love the stretch, lightweight, just the right amount of insulation, and the low profile waistband - no bunching. I just wear a comfortable boxer brief under them and my normal ski socks. They’ve been perfect with that combo skiing from 6-40 degrees. I have vents on my shell pants for when I get warmer. The only gripe I have is that I’m right handed and really miss a pocket on the right side. My waist is 33 and medium seems to fit me fine.

The pants are great on those ice cold days. The fit is slim and the waist true to size. The zippers, while full length do not unzip all the way. They stop at either the top or bottom so if you need to remove the pant, your boots most likely will have to come off. All in all a great pant, just wish the zippers truly did unzip. Thanks to feedback, the pants leg zippers do completely unzip. The bottom zipper must be unzipped to the top zipper and then the zipper mechanism can be undone. Thanks for the feedback. Great insulating layer just got better!!

I purchased these to wear under my goretex shell pants which tended to be too cold when resort skiing. I just received these today and have yet to use them on the mountain. That being said, Amazing comfort. So soft in fact, a base layer underneath these are not necessary for comfort. These do NOT have a drawstring as many complained about the previous version in reviews I have read. Single zipper pocket on left side and zippered fly are nice additions. I’m 6’0 175lbs and everything I own is size Medium. This is no different. I tend to be a 31 or 32 waist and these fit well with only a T-shirt tucked in. I have no concern about the omission of a drawstring. I am excited to use these on the hill. I can wear my shell pants more often without worrying about freezing on cold Northeast days. Thank you backcountry. This is my first backcountry brand purchase and it is top notch.

These capri's are the BOMB. They look awesome, and they fit incredibly. I wear these all the time just for pure comfort sake, even though they're made for mountain use. As a warmth layer, they work incredible. I'm a snowboarder, and they stop right at the top of my boots so I don't have to deal with tucking or stretching over them. They also don't feel bulky under my bibs (regular fit). Moral of the story is these are comfy, warm, and good looking. You'll want to buy these. As for waist size, I'm a 32/32 and the medium is perfect.
