I got this as a mid-layer/ casual jacket for fall and so far I do love it. It's been great for camp fireside lounging on our last 30ish-degree evening. It's proved to be a worthy companion for some windy cold days hiking. I just wish the sizing was not so slim and it does run small. As much as I loved the women's colors I grabbed a men's version (looks the same) just to have some room for a bit of layering. If you are slender this will fit great, if you have curves, go up a size or grab the guys (the red is a nice pop of color for fall/winter)!

Hi, this is Emily and I work on the Backcountry brand product development team. I am writing this review today to help guide your sizing decision on this new product. My measurements are: 5'4" Tall Size 4, or on the larger size of S in bottoms The larger side of S for tops bust 34 B. I am personally very excited about this jacket. It's Polartec insulation, and Pertex face fabric will make it durable and warm for years. This will be my go to for my touring layer, hiking layer, or even winter biking. The chest pocket is oriented beneath the insulation to help keep electronics warm in the cold. I wear a M in this jacket, it is a touch snug in the chest area, so if you are a more busty woman size up.
