So I wasn't sure I needed this, but I cannot imagine trips without it now. I love how spacious this is and how I'm able to just pack all my stuff in one handy place. Camping trips are a breeze now, as I just put my clothes, pillow, sleeping bag and doggo blankets into the duffel, toss it into the bed of my truck and head on out to adventure land. For the winter, this will be utilized for an emergency situation bag. I'll keep everything I need packed away in this, just in case I get caught up Little Cottonwood Canyon in avalanche protocol. Knowing that there is a waterproof part of the bag, I'll feel good knowing that my emergency bag will keep me properly prepared for anything to come.

This bag is perfect for carrying all my snowboard gear (minus my board). The exterior fabric is super durable and waterproof and the interior is roomy and outfitted with multiple smartly designed pockets that are ideal for holding everthing I need for a day on the mountain. The U-shaped opening to the main compartment makes accessing my gear a breeze and the two detachable exterior straps allow me to carry it as a backpack when in transit. Simply an awesome bag and a fantastic value!

Wasn't sure what size to get, I ended up going with the 60L and it's great. The material is very durable and weather resistant. This bag would hold enough clothes for a week long trip. I would definitely recommend this bag for anyone that wants to have a bag for several years. This bag can hold up to all kinds of abuse and weather. Would be nice to have more "stash" pockets inside and around the outside, overall 9/10.

So I originally purchased the 40l and loved it but wanted a little more room. I used the 40l for an overnight trip where I needed an extra change of clothes and an extra pair of shoes, and it was just about full for me. Hence the 60l. This bag should have plenty of room for me. I love the shoe storage and the storage on the lid

This is my 3rd backcountry duffel I have purchased. I use my 60l for weekend camping trips and it fits everything I need. The detail of the interior pockets makes it easy to find small things that usually get lost in the bottom of my duffel. Also the waterproof compartment is a safe place to put my dirty hiking boots. Sturdy enough to travel on planes, back of my car, or in my roof top cargo box.

I didn't end up keeping this bag since it was too similar to something we already had. I did really like the shoe area, and some of the smaller pockets for organizing. This would be a good carry on, or easy to check if flying (we'll do that again some day!). Also good size to stuff a bunch of gear in for a camping trip or road trip. Construction seemed high quality, a good job by BC to mimic the North Face and Patagonia bags.

I used this over 5 times already, as a carryon for flying. It holds a ton of stuff, and still able to use the backpack straps to run through the airport when needed.

I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. While I usually find myself on some sendy backpacking adventures, I sprinkle in some car camping trips here and there to change things up a bit. For those occasions, being able to pack away all my things into a duffel instead of a backpack makes life blissfully simple. 60L fits everything I want - tent, pad, sleeping bag, clothes, etc. without the hassle of reaching in the abyss of my backpack and blindly searching for what I need. 60L is spacious without feeling too big or bulky. Like most duffels, the All Around has two side pockets - one for smaller items (I use it for stinky socks) and a bigger waterproof pocket for dirty/wet gear. Itâs not shown in the product pics, but the main flap of the duffel also has three mesh pockets. I like being able to stash smaller items I want to be more accessible, like a knife, my headlamp, or snacks. I also love the backpack straps since it makes it easy to carry my duffel from car to campground and frees up my hands for other items. My only critique is that I wish the zippers pulls were a little thicker or longer to make them easier to grab. Other than that, I love the look and feel of this bag. It has a clean and stylish aesthetic that you can take to the airport or the outdoors.

I could no longer pretend that my old (about 30 years) duffel was usable anymore and needed something new. I looked around and decided on the 60L Backcountry bag. I was please with my purchase from the start. This bag is well made and has a lot of well thought out features. I expect it will give me many years of good service.

Bag is serviceable but outer material seems thin. That’s ok if the color was appealing. Instead the beautiful red plum sable color online arrived as a poop brown color.

Took this bag with my to Thailand and back. It was lightweight, comfortable on my back, held a ton of stuff, and kept everything dry. 10/10 would recommend for travel. FYI - It is **slightly** larger than most (if not all) carry-on bag maximum dimensions, but I didn't have mine packed all the way, and could squish it down. Might be an issue if your bag is packed to the max, or you get a stickler of a TSA agent.

The 60L is really the perfect size. Ive already taken it on a few flights and many road trips. This is my go to duffel. I like the material but it does show some wear spots and scratches I cant tell how much they will affect the integrity yet. The backpack straps are a game changer and I love the detach system for them. The waterproof pocket is awesome for wet shoes or trunks. The only reason Im giving it a 4 star instead of 5 is the scratches and wear spots it gets. It adds patina which I like, but if its an integrity issue it could be concerning.

First, the positives: * Great looking bag * Cheaper than the alternatives * Good design for the compartments and for usability. It's not just a black hole, there's usability designed into the layout of the bag. The negatives: * It simply does not hold up. After one flight, with clothing only (no ski boots or gear with contours or edges) the bag already has multiple wear spots that compromise the bag. This wasn't an international flight with three legs and a 12-hour layover in Siberia, but a single hop, A to B flight so the bag was not put through the wringer. There are two spots where the outer layer has been compromised and it's no longer weather resistant. * I'm no expert, but it looks like it can't take wear from coming into contact with power rollers used by airlines--there are two rub spots that wore through the waterproof outer layer through to the mid-layer. I have a Patagonia bag that contained my skit boots on the same trip (with sharp countours/edges) and that thing is bulletproof. I've travelled everywhere with that bag and years later it looks brand new with no visible signs of wear. In short, the Backcountry bag looks good and is designed thoughtfully, but the quality and durability of the materials is questionable. I'd recommend only to those looking for a light-duty pack that is babied. And if you're looking for that, why buy a rugged gear bag?

I have been using this duffle for several months now and can't recommend it enough! I love the separate shoe pouch, I use it for dirty clothes when traveling as well. I usually use this when I'm flying, its the perfect carry on bag. You can carry it as a duffel or wear it as a backpack and it fits under the seats and in the overhead bin. It's weather resistant and good value for the price compared to other similar bags.

Received this bag last week and its perfect! Super spacious bag for traveling! It is a little over the weight limit for most airlines carry on item, but its a flexible shell that I think will work for overhead luggage! Excited to take this traveling!

I take this bag with me everywhere. Nice durable bag. Backpack straps easy to adjust. Can fit a lot of items in it. 60L could be used as a carry on as long as you don't over stuff it.

For the price why would you buy Patagonia when you have this thing! It’s huge, the backpack straps were a really awesome added bonus when I found out out how easy they were to take off and put on. They really put thought into this bag to make it last a life time! Well done backcountry
